My favourite manufacturer is BMW.
My favourite cars are:
1970 Plymouth Barracuda (Classic Muscle)
2008 Bentley Brooklands Coupe (Can never have)
BMW E30 M3 (Early to mid 90s)
and pretty much any other BMW M3 (but the classic E30 is my fav of the M3s)
What's yours? |

My mom's ex boyfriend let me drive his M3 multiple times--this was back in 2007 and his car was a 2002. Fun car to be caught in! haha |

@BBT That's pretty cool. I'd drive it.
Right now I have a 1988 Bronco II that I'm trying to sell... my 2 favorite cars though are a 1953 Corvette Nomad or a 59 Cadillac Eldorado |

my favorite car is the car i drive. it's a late-gen ('04-'06 model year, mine's an '04) pontiac GTO. it's luxury, it's a driver's car (it has climate controls and a stereo. no giant navi screen or heated seats or anything like that), it's inconspicuous (unlike a lot of sports cars' garrish stylings), and it's a freaking rocketship. oh also, it was faster and more powerful than any mustang produced in the same year.
now, ford's 2011 mustang GT might be faster and more powerful than the 2006 GTO. but that was only after a 5 year difference in model years. and compare the 2011 camaro SS2 to the GT?
i love muscle cars. i love driving. all i want is a 6-speed, that is a real manual with a clutch not some auto-manual paddle shifter, a heater (i don't need AC if the windows roll down), and a stereo. and man that's why i love my car. so basic, and also so loaded.
and the looks... i love the looks. number of times a cop has seen me driving 80+ on the highway? numerous. number of times i've gotten a ticket? zero because my car doesn't look like a mustang, my car looks like a cavalier.
other bonus: only 30,000 were made over a span of 3 years. ford sells 120,000 mustangs a year. heck there are probably more new camaros on the road than GTOs in existence. it's an exclusive club!
oh also it was half the price of an infinity G35 at the time... |

yeah have fun scraping the entire bottom of your car off every time you drive it on a road that isn't completely flat. you might be able to have fun on the tarmac at the airport? and those giant wheels? terrible for handling/acceleration/braking.
my previous car was a firebird. that thing sat pretty low to the ground. nowhere near as low as the car above, but still lower than a standard mustang. i scraped the floor at least once a week...
don't try and run my license platse, those have expired.
god i love that red interior

Here is my dream ...
Oh yeah, we're talking about cars ... Shelby Cobra, I love the look of the concept here. I know this is an international forum, but I am sorry, American cars all the way for this guy! :o)

Sorry btimm. But the Shelby Cobra is mostly British. America just took credit for it. I dislike many current American cars though. To me, if it's an American car it has to be a classic or nothing. Japanese make decent everyday cars (toyota, etc). Italians are known for their Supercars (Ferrari, Lamborghini), and the U.K. makes some good (but expensive) cars (Aston Martin, Bentley). But German cars are where its at. They make both affordable, reliable cars (Volkswagen). And sporty, fast cars (BMW). |

Read up on the Shelby a bit more and that was definitely interesting. I always thought that since I saw it constantly associated with Ford that it was designed over here, but it seems that is not so. Thanksfor the heads up on that. Still love that design though! :o) |

German cars.....overrated! What!?
Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche (well, I'm not that big on Porsche), Volkswagon, you must be crazy.
There is one war that America didn't win against the Germans and that is the dreaded car war.
And I'm an American so I'm allowed to say this. |

Every person I know who has a BMW or Audi constantly cries about how often their vehicles need work and how expensive it is to perform this work. I know 3 people with BMWs and 2 with Audis and all 5 people swear they won't buy those respective cars again. I understand that 5 is a small sample size, but I also know 5/5 starts to make you think that maybe there is a trend starting ... |

That's funny that you mention that because everyone I've know to own a Ford has had the similar problems. Especially Ford trucks. There are a few acronyms people use for FORD:
Found
On
Road
Dead
Fix
Or
Repair
Daily
But it also depends what model you get from each company. Some models are better than others. Some years of the same models are better than other years. |

Hmm...this is hard.
1) 1969 Camaro SS
2) 1979 Corvette
3) 1967 Pontiac Firebird
I like muscle cars. ;)

What does that mean in this context: "need work"? |
