HAHA good question I always carry two with me
although the other day I got drunk, started playing guitar, and I lent it to some other drunk which lost it, so now I only carry one.
Picks are too expensive they're small pieces of plastic they should be like 10 cents a piece. |

It's hard for me to find a pick I really like so when I find one I'm super protective of it.
right now my favorite pick is a medium first act pick my brother left at my house. |

almost always in my wallet. if its not there its because i recently lost it. my favorites are metal picks. i dont like picks that are mm... sloppy? is that the word? flexible it is, i guess
@jcb3000: **** thats original, ive never used a piece of paper. il try when i get the chance to. ive used ids, not credit cards.
@RA: i also play with my fingers most of the time (when i dont have or im too lazy to get a pick, or when im simply doing classical guitar or things i cant play with a pic) and i know its good to have both techniques well developed.
@les_paul: something tells me youre a very, very, very...... very, very, very VERY jealous guy |

I have one with crown-of-thorns-Jesus on it in my wallet at all times. I'm not religious at all (you could probably call me anti-religious), but it was given to my by a friend and has kind of taken on a sort of totemic property. |

yeah I used to carry crap loads, 'cause all of my friends never brought theirs, plus from time to time I liked to try a different pick. Now I just carry 2, and usually when it comes to me paying people I tend to find my picks instead of money.
Though I'm the same as RA and JustJeff, I usually use my fingers, unless I'm hybrid picking. |

When I'm out I usually have about two or three with me for some reason. Now you mention it I'm not sure why as I don't carry my guitar with me and I never just hapen to find a guitar in the street and start playing it. But ah well. In my house they're laid around everywhere though so there's no need for me to carry them. |

I always carry a really thick, jazzy sort of pick in my wallet. If for some reason I don't have my wallet, I use my thumbnail (positioning it so the nail is roughly in the same position my pick would be) |

No. I never have a pick with me. I used to keep one with me on my back pocket. It was all good for a while until I lost a few picks.
Now I keep one in a pick pocket on my guitar strap, so whenever I practice I know it's ALWAYS there.
If I happen to run into an acoustic it won't be a problem cause I've learn to play without a pick on an acoustic. Electrics could be a problem but then again, if there was some one with an electric guitar somewhere, they'd probably have a pick there, too. Actually, anybody with any sort of guitar with them would probably have a pick with them so no need to for me to carry one around. |

I always have my two favorite and most used pics on me... and one of my friends jacked my wallet when I was walking out of school, and I leaped upon him XD(he's about 350 pounds) Im' very protective of even letting my friends use one for some odd reason :P |
