Gees do I have to pick just one?
The whole Zep II album for starters. (Had that on 8 track lol)
esp Livin' Lovin' Maid
After that It's a toss up, but I must admit I'm tired of hearing "Stairway to Heaven". Too bad, I used to really like that song, but it's way overplayed and every person I meet who picks up a guitar wants to play it (usually very poorly).

ooooo GOOD one Mosh!
The white album was a disappointment for me. Rocky Raccoon is not a fav of mine and Bungalow Bill is another. I could probably edit that album down to a single disc with no problem at all.

Okay Phip. Let's stick to Beatles. Better early or late? I definitely prefer their drug-induced later music, but it seems the generations before mine differ and prefer the earlier music. Thoughts? |

Yeah, well having been there from the beginning I have a fondness for all of their work but yes, as they evolved the songwriting and production got better. And so there is a distinct difference. Rubber Soul is fantastic as is Sgt Pepper. So I would agree that the later albums are more enjoyable from a technical standpoint. Abbey Rd. is amazing.
I have the Anthology DVD set and have been watching it lately. the evolution is so interesting. The interviews are great. What they were thinking, how they wrote, and all the personal drama too.

Luthier,
People ask me this all the time.
It is one of the longest words in the Oxford English Dictionary. It is commonly believed to be the longest or the second longest word in English.
Of course you probably knew this already if you have been paying attention to my "how not to write lyrics thread". LOL
Antidisestablishmentarianism is a political position that originated in 19th-century Britain in opposition to proposals for the disestablishment of the Church of England, that is, to remove the Anglican Church's status as the state church of England, Ireland, and Wales.
Now for this weekend's assignment I want you to write a song using Antidisestablishmentarianism once in each verse. You will be graded on originality and rhyming schemes.
Good luck,
(wise guy) ;)

Oh wow Alex, did I ever tell you about that night back in the 83? Probably not. Anyway, it all started with six beers. Then off to a local bar for six shots of Rumplemintz Peppermint Schnapps. Someone said “you should try Grand Marnier shots.” So we has six of those. And then came the Tequila. I think it was six shots of Jose Cuervo.
Went to a party and had a big plate of macaroni salad. I didn't have a fork or spoon so I set it on the ground and ate off of it like a dog on my hands and knees.
The night ended with six
hours on the front lawn puking my guts out.
I finally drove home in the pouring rain with the sun roof open because I couldn't lift my head enough to close the thing. lol
I looked like that picture of Emp!
To this day I still can't look a bottle of tequila in the face without getting ill.
Soooooo, I'll take the whiskey
