I tell people now because I'm old and don't care but I really like the BEE GEES! Especially the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. I would'nt tell any of my friend that I like this album when I was a kid.

Who do you like? Common, let's here em!

I'm not embarassed by any of the music I listen to. I think if it does something for you, you should be proud to have it in your life!

Good for you Afro. You Brits don't seem to have the same problems with shame as us Americans.

I'm not embarressed by what I listen to either. If you listen to it, then you must like it. And if you like it who cares what other people think?!

hahaha, I really, really like the bee gees, always have! have i found myself not admitting to friends that i loved the saturday night fever album, absolutely YES! guilty as charged.
hey, here's one for you. did you ever join the popular mood and say you liked a band that you really don't?
True confession, i never was or am i now a big fan of the Rolling Stones or Elvis. Yes, it's true. Elvis' song coices were weak at best. He had a few good ones but overall i find him boring. And the Stones, I don't know, never really liked the majority of their work, a few good numbers but I was aways a Beatles fan and never warmed to the Stones.

I had a friend that listened to dylan in an attempt to like him for a week straight because all of the bands he liked liked them. He ended in failure.

and by had a friend I dont mean to say that it was really me, it was actually a friend of mine that did it.

@Phip

I've always said I like Springsteen and The Who but I really don't. I don't hate them or think they are terrible but I just can't get into them. I even have some of their albums but never listened to them!

On another note, what I really appreciate about the younger generations now is how they don't have the same peer presser we use to have. They like what they like and they don't care what people think. Good for them!

@ macandkanga,
Haha, you're cracking me up. Yeah, the bay city rollers, let me see if i can remember.........
blah blah blah saturday night saturday night
That one?
God, just freaking shoot me now!
It's funny how we react sometimes. I happen to really really like Springsteen (especially the early stuff) but I have a lot of friends who just don't care for him.
Also a note to Bruce (if you happen to be a member, LOL)
Your songs were written for people in blue jeans and t shirts and now the only people who can afford to go see you are millionaires. And let me tell you Bruce, anybody who can afford tickets to your concerts wouldn't understand a damn thing your singing about! What's up with that Boss! C'mon, you ain't rich enough yet? You sang about guys like me and I can't afford to sit in the parking lot. oh well,

shhhh....don't tell any one but I've been into some non-mainstream country music. actually I have nothing to hide.

Hank Williams III, Back Porch Mary, and Reckless Kelly.

I've been pretty sick of rock music, maybe i'm just old.

I usually only tell people this after I get to know them more, but I like the Cure, Bee Gees, Elton John, The Police, Snoop Dogg, Tech9ne, and John Denver. Yap. None of these are styles of music I play, they just all have some songs that relate to my life haha.

I really can get too much into Led Zeppelin although I really like their style. I like some old country music. I actually started listening to alternative back in the 90's and I once told someone I Didnt like Heavy Metal. Truth be told I only like very few types Metal.

Some of my friends give me crap about listening to Radiohead. They tend to be the ones that are interested in downloading all of the lollipop-remix bull**. So I'm not really embarrassed, everyone should love Radiohead, it just makes me angry I guess.

I actually like Jay-Z. Rappers that actually rap are okay with me. It's the ones that just alter the pronunciation of a meaningless phrase and repeat it over and over that I don't like.

I like rappers like 2 pac and NWA. just reading some of their lyrics gives me a new perspective on the genre, but people like 50 cent just piss me off and theyre so 'hard' and want to cap someone in the face for money and ho's.
