Songs you like to play when theres no one else around

What songs do you like to play when there's no one else listing and why?

for me its scar tissue by the red hot chilly peppers partly caus im still learning it and cant sing it very well yet but also because i remember the summer it came out and it seemed to be on the radio every time i was heading down to the beach.

bonus points for telling me how many years ago that song came out without googling it...

well i love to sing war pigs. one of the only songs i can sing comfortably tht i absolutly love, sure i can sing pink floyd, skynyrd, and other kinda lower voices, but i dont like to have anyone hear me sing

Any singing I do that is good is when I don't think I'm being watched, my vocal range varies from day to day, also the amount of bite and quality of my screams/growls vary as well.

As for playing, I'm not ashamed if I like music I'll play it no matter.

I'm with nutter on the playing part, but for singing, I love to sing Journey, Van Halen(both eras), and a lot of other 80's stuff like the Police, or even Pat Benetar. And the only person I've ever sang in front of was my ex...she made me. and she laughed. :(

its probably for the best that shes your ex now really. dont let that one mean incident stop you from singing in front of people (unless you really do suck at it)

Ten years! Californication was released in '99 if I'm not mistaken.

I don't really change which songs I play based on if there's anyone around or not. I might try to play something I think they would like, of course, but I don't have any specific songs that I decide to pull out because nobody is listening.

I didn't let it get to me, right after she left, I kept singing along with "Don't Stop Beleiving" :) I still sing alot, really no matter what, if there's a lot of people I usually won't, but if its me and some friends or just a few other people I do sing a little bit.

I mainly play any songs I don't yet feel confident with alone. You know, when I'm learning a new one. Then after about a week or two, even if I'm not really that great stil but I feel like I am because of any improvements made I start to just play and sometimes sing with it whether other people are in my house or not.

But I notice I'm more shy about singing or even just playing any songs I write myself, I prefer doing any covers when not alone.

i like to practice my screaming/growling when people arnt around. i just dont feel comfortable when thay are. also when i learn a new song i dont like people around cause it sounds sloppy.

i play in front of people but i sing and play along with the record when im home alone, i think i sound better when i sing with the song

Once got filmed in secret singing to the chipmonks...... Then it was played at a gig of mine!!!

Master of Puppets is probably the only song I don't play in front of people. It's a fun song to play, but most people assume if you know one metallica song you know them all...I dont...and I dont care too, I hate being asked to play metallica.

When im in public, i play some Metallica, A7x, Rammstein.(usually rhythm. backing vocals if im playing with someone)

But in the privacy of my practice room, i play Green Day and Blink 182 lead. And i sing lead.

when alone I like to play and sing subdued 'talking' songs in French....in English there are fewer artists but songs by Leonard Cohen and Peter Starstedt are some I sing.
