do you ever get that feeling after you play some nice, slow, emotional improvising? then you put your guitar down and its just like "Ahhhhh." and you just dont want to play anything else or else it will spoil it. i just got it, one of the best feelings in the whole world, its like everything else just goes away =)
i just wish i could have figured out the webcam, then i would have recorded it and shown you guys |

Yea, sometimes i turn off my distortion, play some random sad chords and it feels so good.
But i prefer excitement, runnlng around stage, hitting stompboxes, going from overdrive to MAX OD. Jumping, yelling, powersliding!(I imagine it)
But thats good when you at home. Or not in fantasy land... |

Yeah I love that feeling :) I like making up random happy or even compspositions that sound a bit sad just with my guitar. Afterwards I feel great. |

Don't forget it! That happened to me and it eventually became a song and I think its one of the best I've ever written! Its on our CD and became the bands favorite song we play. This will sound weird, but it almost makes me cry when we play it or I listen to it. I just can't believe the emotion that comes out of me when we sing it. Some of that was lost in the recording process. I think its on our myspace page. Myspace/portalpraise. The song is called Mercy Unhindered if anyone wants to check it out. It is a Christian band so the lyrics may not be your cup of tea. You may not like it, but it helped me out of some tough times. |

Is a racist someone who runs races? Like a guitarist plays guitar? Why isn't a drummer a drumist? Or a bass player a basser or a guitarer? Someone who plays music should be a musicist or a musicer. |

Aye bbt, many times. Usually I want to let last note last as long that the last drip of sustain fade...
I thought that process often, I think the greatness of it is that its the moment that is unique, that flow never been same anymore.. and it never should be.
I sometimes even lost myself and everything else when playing and improvising...(actually most of them could be horrible if thinking musically) but the whole process is something that took control and sometimes I "startle" after 2 or even 5 minutes that I have no Idea what happened or what I played... Sometimes its quite freaky...(hey, Im not high when I write this okay...) :P...
Darn Im happy that you have them BBT.

I love it. I had it four about three or four days straight through the summer. I just became a recluse, learned some trippy chords and was getting into Hendrix/Pink Floyd. Everything just flowed. Some of it didn't even sound good, but it just stayed. Those three days were like paradise.

Yeah, I hear you, Bodom. I myself like to pray when I write, so I often find myself getting some pretty great stuff that makes me feel happy.

Oh, man! Now that's a time! It's so different from anything else I do and feel. Very unique! BUT, it's something that I only feel when I'm alone, cause musically... :S, so everyone in the room would beg me to stop! LOL! I think it feels so special to the one that's playing because you're making the world (and that's pretty much THE WHOLE WORLD to you in those moments) just the way you want it to be. |

What I love is when you are just noodling around and something just clicks and sounds so great.
Then, 5 seconds later when you realize you want to play it again, you have no idea what you did and you spend the next half hour trying to figure it out... :( |
