Lyrics Game

Got the idea of this off of UG.com, thought it'd be welcomed over here?

Rules

The last word in the previous stanza is the first word for your piece. Any form of the same word is acceptable just keep the root of the word.
Rhyme, Alliteration, Similies/Metaphors are promoted.
No spamming.
Your stanza can be between 2-8 lines
No paragraphs.
Give others a change to post.
In the event of two people responding to the same stanza, the 2nd person should edit their post to build off the 1st stanza.
If you really like a stanza feel free to message that person.


To start you off, something old of mine:

As we sit and talk, I come to realise
I can not see and I'm lost without you;
Like the wolf chasing a rabbit trail,
I feel the biggest fool,
For leaving you out in the cold, all I did was fail;
But the world moves on as we stand still,
Don't worry this time,
I'll pay the bill;

Bills collect behind my locked door
I couldn't reach them if I wanted to

Without it I'll never be free

Freedom comes free to you and to me
But many others must pay a hard price
Living off of rice and qeunching little water
They all fight while we be seated and mock her
Mother Liberty stands in vain

[Mother Liberty refering to Freedom in a metaphoric sense, not the statue of Liberty].

vain is my hunger and the hunger feeds me.
The grace I plead but the gold will blind me
black veiled greed smile to my weakness
under wings of my angel I will born for the meekness

I would assume we make them up. Otherwise we'd spend forever looking around.

Not really, I'd say this is good training which allows us to write about something we probably wouldn't write about. It expands our improvisational skills.

lol that was pretty crude, I know :P I clearly struggled! Random song. Ah well, I don't think I got alliteration or much of that other stuff in there but at least now you can play on! (and nobody even dare try to put something as difficult as 'slide' last again, ha)
