All the guitarists I know have several great guitars, but there is always one we play on the most for whatever reasons we may have.
Which of your guitars is your baby?
Mine has to be Rose, my PRS Swamp Ash in cherry red. She plays soooo nice and her tone is so incredibly warm when I want it to be, but she can have a serious bite making her perfect for blues/rock/jazz styles.

I don't really have an amazing guitar, and I'm not too fussed at the moment.

My baby is an Epiphone SG (G-400). I do love it I gotta say. I gives my tone justice.

I know someone who has a les paul worth some odd thousand bucks who barely plays it and instead plays a fairly regular guitar that just has special meaning to him. It doesn't matter if it's amazing, it's your baby :)

Yeah, I agree. Shame he doesn't use that one though. I'd giev it a go. But you're right, it definitely depends on what we personally find as "the one".

I'm about half and half with my Martin and my Artcore. My Samick has been exhiled to wall art/alternate tuning mostly because it is tempermental. It's the definition of a low end starting electric. Though I couldn't bare to part with it. I suppose that once I pass the CPA and have the time and money to spare, I'll have the electronics reworked on it. Until then, I'm more than content to play my other six stringers. What I don't understand is how people sell their guitars. I'd have to be forced at gunpoint to give any of them up.

I own 2 guitars: A Fender Stratocaster and a Larrivee OM-03 acoustic... And I really don't care what happens to my Fender, as long as my Larrivee ages well and I age with it :)

I plan to keep that Larrivee forever and pass it on to my kids when they get old enough to play.

Mine is a Gibson Baldwin 3/4 size, it's actually called that so don't be getting confused. It's like an actuall concert accoustic (but like I'm relly good enough to do that ha!) but it's nice and small, the way I like it. And reflects more noise than a full size so I'm hapy with it.

Mine is a BC Rich Warlock. I traded a Tony Alva skateboard and $50 bucks for it in 1992 from a neighborhood kid. It's not an American model but licensed by BC Rich and made in Korea. There's a guy out here in California who works for TC Guitars that refretted it with jumbo frets and added a Seymour Duncun full metal shred pickup. He has worked on Eddie Van Hallens guitars. This guitar screams with great tone and plays like a dream. It's probably only wort a couple hundred bucks, if that, but it is my favorite guitar.

Thought about keeping my sammick at the office, but I'd never get any work done. I don't know how you do it.

I totally agree with you, Ctown. I don't think I could ever sell one of my guitars. There's some sort of link there that I just couldn't break. By the way, my "baby" is definitely my Schecter C-1 Classic. I haven't done anything to it since I bought it (so, factory specs) and it's friggin' awesome. Really pretty too :)

I have four guitars now and when I play one of them like my Kelly I feel like I'm cheating on my first electric which is my Strat. Then I feel like I'm neglecting my Studio Acoustic so I have to play all of them except a new black one that I have.

My new baby is my Epi Plus Top. I love her. Soon my red-headed stepchild [I am allowed to make that joke for I have red hair myself!] will be a Dean 79' ML. I will be complete. My Strat will probably find a way to collect dust....in its case. idk.

I have a Dean acoustic-electric exotica series. It's made of quilt ash and it's so wonderfully trippy looking. the best way I can describe it is that it kinda looks like wooden tie-dye.
