Im thinking sly and the family stone is all i can think of at the moment.

And i like what little i've heard of them.

Sly and the Family Stone, Funkadelic, Parliment, Bootsy Collins, Earth wind and fire (yes a lot of their stuff is funk), Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chili Peppers (some early stuff), The Meters, James Brown, Tower of Power, Ohio Players.

The Dazz Band, BT Express, Cameo, Commodores, Slave, Lakeside, The Gap Band, Mandrill, Brothers Johnson, Isley Brothers, I could go on. I love funk. I wish funk would come back and hip hop and rap would go away.

Since idea of funk is the "One Riff" to the intensive rhythm, sounds good to me because im a simple man... BUT... can Finnish dude like me be much a FUNK? EW&F is all time fav, Jamiroquai, James Brown... all do got me groovin... so Im probably Neo Funk a PUNK.
