I'd like to know what the most popular combinations would be. Vote two or three times. But not all for the same answer.

My votes:
1. 2 p90's
2. SSH. If I could only have one guitar I'd want SSH with the H splittable. My go to sound is Single Coil at the bridge or single at the neck. On second thoughts I'd like Single Humbucker Single.

That's a good one too... I meant to do a write in and thought I clicked it but apparently I didn't. I'll ost pics of my kramer with the wiring finished when I get it done. It has 3 jackson humbuckers with split coils.

If by old u mean 50s then P90s, if you mean later then PAF humbuckers.

I agree with BBT's full statement thingy. I'd love to have like an ES-355 Dot in Red with a couple of P90s in it for that different look and sound. And I would love to play Johnny B. Goode at the Enchantment under the sea dance one day.

I'm about to start working on a thin-body full hollow body with a single p90 in the neck position.

Since I have a HH and HSH (if I resolder the S)
I'd like to try a H (bridge) S (neck)

Hum Hum Hum with out of phase switching and coil taps. You could almost get any sound you want with this!

Humbuckers all the way. But they have to be active.

I dislike active pickups because of the fact that they run on batteries. The way I use my guitar the batteries would fry out every day. 9-Volts are getting more expensive every day too.

actually nine volts in active pickups will last a lot longer than you might think(unless you leave it plugged in ALL the time).

Not to mention lots of guitars are going to a 2AA system. AA rechargables are reasonably priced.

True, when using active pickups, make sure you unplug your guitar when not in use... Or your batteries will die awfully fast.
