Gentlemen, (you too BBT)
Using mirrors was a joke. I have a difficult time with my voice so when you said i had a nice voice i made the joke. Sorry to confuse you guys! You weren't thinking that there was some sort of secret singing trick did you?

@ Jeff,
haha, man i'm taking it on the chin this time! (payback time eh?) I do actually know a great singing trick, hire a professional!
In all seriousness, my voice needs a lot of work (practice). I sing the do ra me thingy on my way to and from work each day. I start soft and work myself up several octaves and then increase my volume. I get some pretty funny looks on the highway! It takes work and patience. Finding songs that fit your range is a good way to get started, so you don't get too frustrated. |

First, soz for the late post. Second that was a great shot. I like your way how you let there be space between playing and singing... true mark of troubadour. Your excellent choises of songs give that even better touch.
Do not change your recording presets or method for singing. Perfect sound, I liked it and if its ok, I would like to know what gear you used and what was your choises for effect chains.
Damn old man, you should post your playing more often. That was an order. :D.
Cheers!

i remember phip once told me about a voyage he made to the lost city in the himalayas to acces to the forbidden singing knowledge, more known as the mountain throat technique. when he came back he made a learn to sing in 5 minutes with the ego-rising mirror techniqe. its basicly to print either jeniffer anniston's or brad pitt's picture and paste it on the mirror so every time you look at it youll see what ladies (or dudes) like. he also told me they had mcdonalds on the lost city.
now seriously, dud.... i mean sir, you do are able to sing, unlike other peple, including myself |

@ Emp,
thanks for the encouragement! Very kind of you (and everyone else who replied). Thank you all very much!!!
here is what i used for recording this song (not including the computer)
Alesis usb mixer
behringer mic for guitar
Shure headset mic for vocals (I really like this mic)
as for the "effect" I played around until i decided on what they call "Gymnasium ‘Verb. I liked it for this song. The effect is selected on the mixer and then i recorded it on audacity. No effect for the guitar.

@ League,
Geez, now that you ask, I'm not sure but i think it was 160.00 +-
Just a note: that is a wired headset. The wireless version (which i drooled over) was way too much dinero (somewhere in the 300-400 range). But man i really wanted it. Now that I'm pleased with the wired version, i'll save and someday get a wireless set. Or, you know, It does make a wonderful christmas gift........(hint hint)!
@ Tele,
Thanks man!
