Unanswerable...
Each has their specialty, Each has their fails.
Depending how you can use it is how good the quality is.

you can buy bad fender, you can buy suberb fender, you can buy really bad gibson, you can buy really suberb gibson... same goes with Ibanez, schecter.... question is, how much you are ready to pay for it.

I think this is why I don't see eye to eye with a lot of you.

I think Ibanez should be ashamed of every guitar they've ever released under the $700 mark. Anything more than that I put them on the same playing field as all the other guitar makers. Under that, the guitars are utter shhhhhit

Out of these I enjoy (in this order)

Gibson
Fender
Music Man (Really High Quality Guitars)
PRS (They get the job done.....In Style)

Honorable Mention
Ibanez (I love the feel of them, but the stock pickups could be better)

I voted Music Man. They are quality guitars all the way down to the cheapest model. The same goes for PRS but I've played a cheap model, that was still expensive btw, that didn't feel that nice for what you pay. All the rest make at least one crappy guitar.

My Ibanez (RG) feels really solid, and besides me ripping out the single coil pickup it's awesome...
boring finish Is ugly but sound good (pickups)
It's Got some weight to it, but is really solid
But... The trem arm falls out of the Edge (liscensed FR)

So besides a pickup makeover and maybe a tighter arm, it's nearly flawless. Doesn't feel like crap, doesn't sound like crap, but it's a little ugly.

@domigan my trem bar falls out on my edge falls too,you need to take of the plastic back of your guit, and tighten it up it took me.like two sseconds to find and fix it.As for ibanez i got two,an 80's rg540 with black hardware, emg's and a floyd rose double.locking, its cherry red and.plays like a dream, and sounds beautiful
it easily puts guitars three times its price to shame.I also went.out.and.bought an ibanez ziphos xtp700 which has got a sparkly chameoleon paint job, edge pro2 trem.and dimarzio d-activators,its freakin beautiful, solid, not to heavy,a shredders dream, for $700.ibanez is king

Seriously, I look at it as all guitar-making companies want to make that one perfect guitar. For instance, some electric guitars have wammy bars set up to be used, maybe more than actual fretted hand vibrato. Others have wammy bars that have a more subtle effect, lending to more traditional fretted hand vibrato. Some electric guitars don't even come with mechanical wammy bars at all! Ah, to argue one over the other is to basically dismiss the guitar in general!
