Surprised no one has said Maynard James Kennan or Layne Staley. :o Very few can hang with Maynard imo.

Chris Cornell, Amy Lee (don't care really for Evanescence, but I think she has a phenomenal voice), Chino Moreno, Howard Jones, Norah Jones to name a few.
