This song I wrote about 3 years ago. I never named it, just left is as "August Rush Inspired", cause i wrote it the night after watching the movie. There is a lot of harmonic tapping, and a lot of hammer on/pull offs, so good luck :)

Everyone has their own style. Think I can play any of those shredding licks? Not a damn chance. So i developed my own style, my own tone, that should scream out, "JustJeff plays that" instead of just being another song out there. >.<
If you do that, and you're very successful at it (i'm not very good at it yet >.< But getting there!), then you'll be a great guitarist. I think some of the hardest licks to play are some of the Pink Floyd solos and Eric Clapton solos, not because of the speed (there is none...), but because of the technicality and soul that is put into each and every one of them, that makes them extremely difficult to replicate. That's why cover bands who play those songs usually don't stack up to the real thing.

Yeah, I'm actually been getting pretty good at some stuff... I'm not a shredder but there's more technical stuff like that that I can play. I get what your saying though.

agreed mucho with el Jeff up there. No way I will be able to do finger picking like he can (or anyone else talented with it). haha my Finger Picking technique is called "tapping" by others haha XD jk
Jeff, you are quite right, but... todays guitarists have too many "heroes" and too many "idols" that they are almost forced to intimidate other players style, "im gotta shred fast", "im gotta have groove", "I gotta sound Jazzy"... whatever... I cant play any shots by another person and I dont want, I want to play my stuff and I dont care a * are they easy or hard or anything... so luckily I dont need to jump off that bridge Phip. Very cool shots guys so far anyway :)
Here's another, the song Monster, the intro to it. It doesn't sound that good cause I only have over drive on it. I'm really just now learning lead stuff. I've always played rythm so... here it is.

Ha, yeah I hadn't been on there for probly 6 months until yesterday when I uploaded those songs. It's retarted but that's the only place I had an account to load the songs to.

Hmm Betcha cant play this. I dont think ill enter this, i dont really play fast... Unless its betcha cant improv over ____ then i probably wont be good at it, especially speed stuff...

and too all the non-speed oriented guitarists dont fret{no pun intended} post a lick,mark it as beginer do whatever because fast guitarist usaully cant play slow licks so you will have t5e advantage XD

ill think something up... But itll be the thought for me that counts not the difficulty. Because when i can express with 10 notes what i also can with 100... Im gonna chose 10. And most often those 10 are gonna be better.
