Thanks btimm. Yeah, it was just a piece of dialogue from the movie Pulp Fiction. I was mainly referring to the part where he says his girlfriend is a vegetarian which makes him a vegetarian. I thought that was funny cause I know people like that! The contradiction of his character as a bad mother**er who can't eat meat because his girlfriend won't let him! I'm not saying anyone here is like that so don't anyone get excited! Especially Emb. He's a man who makes his own decisions and that's what I like. Don't be a "whatever" because of what other people think. |

TGI Fridays (along with applebees, ruby tuesdays, or any other "down home, neighborhood" grill with crazy crap on their walls) are the equivalent of the wal mart of restaurants. go eat at a locally owned neighborhood restaurant... that is, a bar/pub/grill/restaurant in your neighborhood, owned by neighbors. not one that is owned by a corporation with 105 locations in your city alone.
if you are going vegetarian for fear of processed foods, eating at a chain restaurant isn't going to solve that. every single thing they serve there is processed.

If Denny's is open at 11pm and your friends are going, you're going too. I'm into pesticide free veggies but I'll eat at Taco bell every couple of months, vegetarian of course.
We just pick our battles.
gx1327: vegetatians do not fear processed foods. But meat eaters should fear growth hormone injected beef, it's clearly a bad idea. |

As i said. I went there with friends. You think i make my friends go to organic, or at least high end gluten free resturantes? And besides it was outside penn st. we were seeing a concert, they wanted a bite. So no i didnt even have their flouride and chlorine infested water.
Acctually i dont fear processed foods. I dont eat them. All people should fear them. People should fear growth hormones if they eat meat, however i dont. People should fear GMO's however i dont eat them so i dont. If i ate them id fear them.
And Gx as i said now i didnt eat there. I sat down there with y friends. I know what to aviod and where to go trust me. |

I came in late on this one, sorry about that guys - been held up with uni work and no internet at home (yeeeeey)
Anyway, I don't really eat meat generally because I don't like the taste, and I just can't get enough of my fruit and veggies. Peppers in particular, mmmm!
However - when I'm in a guests house - I'd never refuse what they've put effort into cooking; so I'll eat any meat, besides pork - which is a straight up no, no.

I'm not a vegan/vegetarian, because I really enjoy eating meats. That said, I don't touch Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Mickey D's, etc.
I don't mind BK since I've never thrown up their food(yet) or been in serious gastrointestinal pain because of it :/
Along with that I still eat the local Chinese restaurants(and suffer MASSIVE amounts of "gut-pain"). I just don't learn :P haha |

I agree with Case.
Fast food restaurants can be disgusting.
I've gotten sick to Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, and Dunkin Donuts' sandwiches (I still get the coffee tho). But thankfully I have a local pizza place and a local Burger joint to fulfill my meat and cheese desires. Their pizza place is run by a family of Greeks so they know how to make authentic pizza and the Burger joint has real Black Angus meat in their burgers. Plus there's subway. Some Chinese food also makes me sick because of the MSG, but I can't give up Chinese food. |
