What does everyone think about Michael Jackson?

I really dont know about him myself, he was probably the only one that acctualy knew what pop was, so i respect him for that, and i dont know if the molestation charges are true, but if they are that lowers my opinion of him quite a bit...However, i do trust U.s.a's court system(maybe).

Although, i do like Beat It :P

Well no doubt he was talented and a great singer/dancer. I cannot judge him because I didn't witness anything people allege he did to kids.

A legend, great singer and composer who have taken many races closer to each others through music. He was pioneer what comes to music videos and he was first who used movie director on music videos.

Needless to say that if you look who were involved in Thriller or other hes albums... Eddie Van Halen, Quincy Jones, Paul McCartney, Steve Lukather, Larry Williams, Luis Johnsson to mention few... Those dudes just not make stuff with anybody...

Its very sad that he have so many scandals later in his career that darken a bit of his image, but I personally approach them very sceptical.

Well, apparently to what I've heard, he wrote all of the songs himself, as well as choreography and nearly all party for each instrument. And he could also play a wide range of instruments. So he was a good musician, but his music never fully appealed to me. He's got some good catch songs, but then in the end of his career he kind of overused the theme "Peace, Love, etc" which made it a bit too cheesy for me. And in his live performances he often stood with his hand raised to the air, without a movement, for about 4 minutes after the end of a song. And then I just have to say.."alright, you got a nice chin, but it isn't that pretty!"

its sad.. michael jackson dead. a world without him. its weird. ill play on a gig july the 14. well play about 15 songs including at least two tributes for him. it is an glam rock/80s music gig, so he fits perfectly. he was big, he was the example a teacher gave me when i was in kindergarten about self acceptance, so he was part of my life since very young. he was a funkcredibly good dancer and singer. hes the guy that has donated to charity the most. he also had the beatles rights. besides, i believe im one of the few people that believes he wasnt a pederast.. so young. damn.

There's an interview in Guitarworld that recounts a funny Michael Jackson story.
When EVH was recording the solo for "Beat It" EVH asked Michael in his deep voice what he thought of it and Michael said in his characteristic high voice "I really like the high notes."

Michael's voice wasn't actually that high, he just put it on for the TV. It's also obvious because of the lower notes that he sings in.

I don't care to judge Michael, he had a hard upbringing and was constantly attacked by the press. No wonder he turned out the way he did.

But, he was a damn good musician and will always be remembered, as will the rest of the Jacksons.

As a perrson, I'm sad and sorry for what he had to go through. I looked up to him. I mean, those charges weren't true. The evidence was insufficent. The family staying with MJ were part of a documentery, once they were in the spotlight the parents thought they'd make a story up and get some money off him for it. No matter what happened, people still wouldn't allow him to live a normal life, just because of awful, false rumours and his big name caught up in the limelight. I looked up to him through it because he continued to try and get on with life through it all.

As a performer, his music oculd really blow me away at times. I'm not big on pop music, but he could compose a song with any kind of mood. That gave me some inspiration, and still does. I even admired the fact he was the youngest of the Jackson 5 (a great group I think) and was really taking charge of running it and always took it seriously. He had great dedication to music. I admire that.

As the civil right activist said at his memorial, there was nothing strange about Micheal. The only things that were strange were what he had to go through.

When Michael reached the peak of his career he realized that all he wanted was a life out of the limelight. Something he really never had. He talked to some people and they found a look-a-like who could sing, dance, talk, and act like he did. Michael then proceeded to stow away to a secluded uncharted island which he remains today. The imposter mike then went a little loopy, and died.

I don't know for sure.
I do know that the claim was made by his sister La Toya, who has been out of the limelight for a long time and is probably the least talented of the Jackson family... just saying it seems kinda fishy and maybe she is just trying to start controversy to get back in the spotlight for a little bit. I hope that is not the case.

His music is great and his dances are inspirational and we may never see another man like him for a longgg time if ever. I mean he brought peace to a lot of parts of the world even if it was only a couple minutes ya know? *sighs* shame he did change and do...whatever he did haha

Yeah, yeah MJ was a great musician. So is Pete Townshend. But they're both pedophiles, and if anyone tries to find a reason to pretend that they're not is just denying the truth. Celebrities fall through the cracks because of not only money, but because of who they are. Whose to say that the judge in that court wasn't a michael jackson fan? The system does have flaws, and the biggest flaw is human character. Michael Jackson was a pedophile. His music, as much as I love it, isn't going to change that fact and my lack of respect for his death.

Ahhhh I normally don't wanna preach and stuff in forums but... you know that's the thing I really didn't like about the news coverage or the press that were around when he died. A lot of TV and media focused on whatever the hell he did. and it doesn't matter cause he's gone so instead of remembering him for that, we really should focus on how great and inspirational his music was. I mean I'm still listening to his choons haha ahh but I don't even know what I'm saying now. XD

No, I don't have proof. The only people that truly know what happened are the people involved. But in a situation like that, there was enough money to buy the silence of the victims out of court, which was what happened. In some situations, money is worth more to people then justice. And sharing wine and pornography with a child probably are good indicators that he was in fact a pedophile. Not to mention "sharing his bed" with them. I can understand how people can idolize Michael Jackson, but when you begin ignoring and denying something like pedophilia, doesn't that demoralize you as a person?

'Proof' is required by 'law' before someone can be convicted of a crime. This, as we all know, can be used as a loophole by the rich, famous and clever.
But some things are so self-evident that any thinking, right minded person simply knows there has been wrong doing. Here's a couple of contradictory facts that Jackson worshippers are conveniently forgetting:-

A) Jackson admitted to 'sleepovers' and sharing his bed with young boys. Naive honesty or double bluff?

B) Despite all his pleas of innocence and being surrounded by high flying lawyers, Jackson broke his piggy bank with a $20,000,000 out of court settlement to his accusers.

There's no way that I would pay off someone who was accusing me of a crime like that. I'd fight my way through every court in the land to clear my name! That's the only way I'd part with that amount of cash.
