Jazz, I love the AfroMan!
I think stencils are fun. I've only done a couple, but that was almost a year ago. I've got one of mine (a very simple one) on the first page of this thread.
I should start doing those again... I think I have some good ideas. :)

@ Jazzy,
very nice work! I like the simple lines of the first one. just enough to create the image and yet leaves all the rest to the viewer's imagination. I've always enjoyed that type of sketch.
Stencil man is just plain wild, like from a disturbing dream (in a good way) like seeing Elvis while tripping! When do you find the time with your schedule?
Phip
I don't do art as such, but i do an art in the form of Juggling :) I used to do diabolo in hyde park every now and again when we were up in London. It has been a while since i've picked up a diabolo or juggling balls. hmm late new years resolutions coming on now!
P.S very nice drawings everyone, alot better than what i could do anyways.

The first one will have a lot more detail later on, i usually make sure it's fully shaded when i'm finished, but I kind of like taking pictures step by step, looks pretty cool.
Stenciling is just so much fun, cutting the stencil out takes ages with all the thin lines, but I love the results! :D

@ JCB,
Man, i always wanted to learn how to juggle. it looks like a gas. the only coordinated thing i can manage to do is put about 50 coins on my forearm and with one quick flick of the elbow i catch them all in my hand. hard to explain but fun at boring parties. LOL
Phip
lol i get what you mean phip with the coins. we used to do it when we were drunk to show people we weren't. Its never too late to start juggling, it helps so much with hand eye coordinaion. I used to be a rigth spaz with coordination when i was younger but now im much better :)

Nice job! I find it kind of funny though because that picture bears a striking resemblance to one that I drew a few years back. I hope that doesn't sound weird :P

Drat. I forgot I said that, why the heck do I always tend to put these things off? I'll post probebly tomorrow. It'll be that chicken and some of my sketch work. Nice drawings Jazz and Ozz. I think I've only ever drew one good picture of a person, MartinaMcBride I'll show it later. I did a good one of myself for art, it was pencil tones and I went too far, my face now looks like it's melted :(

Sorry guys, I was going to take photos of my paintings and chicken sculpture today only my sister went out to the pub with the camera tonight, she'll have it back tomorrow but for now I'll just post the photography I've got on my computer.
Apologies if they're small, I had to use photobucket as they were too big. These weren't my best pictures, but they're the best my computer has on it.
Local forest (I somehow got lost by myself for 3 hours when I decided for some mysterious reason to go off the path into a lot of trees I somehow considered would be a 'shotcut'...so I don't go there anymore)
Me noseing on a farm near by.
And here I was that same day running aorund the o***ry with my camera again, I was actually in a wet field when I saw loads of little snails in the way so before I saved them I gathered them for a picture. (So you know they don't normally do that!)
And finally, a funny one my friend found. Just for a laugh. Where I live now looks nice, but not in the urban areas where the sights are so stupid...
I don't have any pictures but I create bonsai trees. I have about twelve of them that I made all on my own. I bought books and learned how to do it. I've created about 30 or 40 over the years but only about 12 of them are still alive! One is about 12 years old and it's the oldest.
It's not the easiest thing to do but very relaxing and rewarding when they live!
I love to draw and paint also but I havnt drawn or painted anything in years. I play the guitar all the time cause I don't have to finish!

When I was painting the other day I thought since we have so many new members it might be an idea to bring this thread back up, they might have some art work that's worth a share.
So, here is a work in progress. With each step the lioness should look more realistic thankfully. I've still got to add liquin to the darker areas to act as shade, apply some apparent but gentle little brush marks on the head and front paws to make them stand out into the foreground, add grass with a fan brush and then some whiskers. But in all honesty, mod roc modeling, tonal drawings and pastel/oil pastel drawings are more my thing.

Yes you can :] I'm glad you think so, sometimes I'm proud of it and then the next minute I'm annoyed by the fact it doesn't look better. But then again, I'm like that with everything I do (including washing dishes or something stupid like that! Not as good as your though Phip,I have no idea how you can draw people so well. Mine only look okay when they're stick men...
And thanks to the mods and the Admin for making this a sticky thread!
