This it it. Theres another version with a different first part, were trying to decide which first part to do
By the way the transistions are very undone... Choppy... Thats because were only 2 people and i need to get the jam track on my jamman right... And the volume... And the transition from the first part we need to work on... ITs too random... And during the jam imagine a build up of guitar and bass and drums over time to the ending licks... But its hard to work on that when im using my jamman and switching tracks and not having a drummer with us... Anyway tell me whatcha think...
Also if your a sucker for funky jams check out our RHCP JAM on my channel, its pretty cool... A pat on the back and last years calendar to find out whos obnoxious vibrato i do at one point in the video... :)
Peace Love Organics :)
Oh and yes my hairs long... And yes comments on it are also cool :)
Oh yeah also, the "farting" during the solo was me... I guess that sloppy joe i had is too much... (camera was overloaded by the bass.... Id never eat an animal...)
Final ohyeah... It doesnt have a vocal melody, we just changed the first part to a slower part as opposed to the faster one and we havent done lyrics yet... Im not sure which 1 i like better... Because the other first part was faster and changed from fast to slow to fast again... And this is slow slow fast... Idk... im torn...

Thanks! so glad you guys liked it (and listened throught the 10 minutes!)
Thanks for that
I use my gibson->wah (off)->Tone pump (boost channel on)->eternity(off)->Pig mine fuzz (off)->maxon eq (on)-ce-2 chorus(on)-> dm-2 delay (on)->volume->marshall
so i had my tone pump (basis of my tone, its such an awesome pedal, first chanell acts as a boost then i turn on the more distorted channel as the solo moved on... I think i had only the boost and the distored channel on for the slide, but its a really clean transparent distortion The eq makes it louder and fuller (boost the mids) and my chorus and delay just for the pretty...
And its a pretty ****ty camera so the audio kinda sucks...
Thanks for the feedback! Im curious honestly which of those would think its good enough to record professionally (or at least in a studio or home studio of some kind to put it on a cd...)
Thanks so much for the feedback i really truly apprieciate it, theres nothing like honest feedback. I hope it keeps vcoming :)

damn everyone likes my slide :)
Whatcha think of the song though? progression. Screw my playing haha the progression, you think it has potential, is it something you'd listen to, something youd enjoy hearing in a jam?
(first part would have vox the change to the jam wouldnt...)

Nah its just a demo, official song will have minimal farting haha and lyrics...
THanks a lot for the detailed feedback jazz :)
Thanks yeah just some boost delay and chorus... The first part idk what i wanna do, i wanna do some single notes and thngs but we had just thought of that part litterally 30 minutes before we recorded it...
Yeah what i did for that jam is i have stuff where ive just played the jam so much stuff i do no matter what, transitional stuff, and stuff i think of on the spot, like the ending lick was planned but i didnt plann it to end...
Yeah the bass is really sweet though, and my camera is el chepo...
I use my gibson->wah (off)->Tone pump (boost channel on)->eternity(off)->Pig mine fuzz (off)->maxon eq (on)-ce-2 chorus(on)-> dm-2 delay (on)->volume->marshall
The repeats were from my favorite delay ever, vintage unmodded dm-2 by boss...
Hes korean... And he brings the funk down aha
Thanks a lot for the feedback, really appreiciate, anything you think we can improve on? (like i know the transition is weird, i was thinking of adding a b7 in there before the e7 but idk if thatd sound good, however it is the resolving chord... idk...)
Thanks a lot though really, and i have been imporving, i cant p lay as fast as i could but i dont care, not the basis of my playing, when i feel i have my improv and my stuff together ill work on speed...

I'd like to see(personally) what this could develop into if you guys had some recording equipment available. If you want some ideas for home recording stuff PM me, I'd be glad to help.

We cant really afford to buy all the mics and processors and everything to record so were acctually gonna use a studio that my music school has...
When theres vocals ill let you guys know and ill post it... The only 2 other things that we add are drums and vox.
Allow me say something about it
The original started out really funky (the first part) sorta a fast funk, and then stopped dead with the e7. and that changed the feel (not the tempo) and it would start out with me single picking those chords like you heard on my jamman, then bass would come in, single notes, and then voices (kinda like pink floyd on the dark side of the moon) i have this sheet of "normal" and its really cool, and basically would be backround voices talking about what does it mean to be normal, and then the slide would come in
and that would slowly build up, the voices would stop once the slide part started, and the bass would move from single notes to 2 notes a chord, 3 notes etc, drums would move from nothing to cymbal ringing to a beat on the ride, and the chords would move from single notes picked going up to many notes and strumming eventually,
and then it would change to the funky part, the bass would be playing funk (all out) drums would be going all out doing stuff around the kit, chords would be like that, and my guitar would build it up
I think thats whatll make that part go from good to great, the build up from soft and slow to hard and heavy funk. Since i cant record it though i can only imagine, however i look forward to it...

Yep, its only a high school, and i'd have to get permission for my band to come in and do it, but they acctually require you to record and produce 5 songs, originals or covers or whatever but you have to. Free odviously its a public school :)
We have 2 other songs that are completely done with lyrics that i like a lot ill post those when i get a decent recording with vox...

Nice playing dude!
I'm going to have to disagree with Jazz, I'd keep the beginning on there. It sets the mood that it's just a chill jam session, and it brings the lulz. xD
Secondly, you look more and more like Jimmy Page in every video hahaha.
And most importantly, I thought the music was fantastic. I too liked the slide. It reminded me a lot of something David Gilmour would do.

Haha yeah i dont wanna send me saying mthfker on a demo though haha
jimmy page? hmm idk i guess, ive had so many comments, the most common is DUDE Is that John Lennon? Nah dude hes dead...wohh DUDE you look like lennon man
Thanks yeah, first guy to notice the gilmour, its really pink floyd influenced but i think its different... uk, thanks a lot everyone :)
SOmetimes you get so neverous posting a link and wonder if people will like it but im kinda not afriad to share it anymore..
Not bad at all,but i founf it quite repetitive,if its only a jam then is nice, but for an original..that wont work, thats one of the most used chord progressions in guitar history...i cant stand it anymore

ok i dig, But how many times has the same progression been used? its the rhythm thats different, hell if you show me a song where the rhtyhm is the same then thats different, but i see what you mean
