Hey all, im selling my guitar, im known round here as a guy who tells it straight :) and i keep it that way so ill tell you exactly what yall wanna know.
So its an Epiphone Plus Top 2002 les paul. (the level above a standard, although i think its sounds better then most epiphones...)
First, i changed the pickups, it has a burstbucker in the neck(great sounding expensive pickup) and a vintage super distortion in the bridge which has tons of output and can nail heavy metal sounds but is also great to combine with the neck and get a warm tone.
Second i changed the bridge, its now a bigsby which i LOVE, honestly you can do slight divebombs to slightly vibratoing it. its not gonna do a floyd rose divebombs but its pretty good. and it stays in tune great, only thing is changing strings are a pain... however sounds great and adds sustain...
Third 2 of the tuners (g and low e) are gibsons...
theres a paint chip on the back, nothing structural but its a nice chunk (pm for pictures) tiny scratch on the headstock, from a string... nothing serious...
One bad thing is that the pickup switcher is chipped. It works just the metal part on the top got chipped off. If you bought the guitar i could personally change it no charge or give you the part and you could change it. simple soldering really, no sense in having a store charge 50$ for it.
Anyway any intrests? pm me for pics and whatnot
i bought this guitar for 350$ used. i probably put something like 300$ in upgrades on it. (bigsby was like 100, pickups probably 200)
so im gonna say 550$ However if your intrests id be into hearing offers or a trade.
honestly i think its a great guitar and am selling it because i dont need it and honestly want a strat.
BTW i hate buying stuff without trying it. So there WILL BE RETURNS if you dont like it... the sound, the anything, just pay shipping.
Thanks, and if you feel its not appropiate for the forum then delete it, but i wanted to list it here before ebay. |

Personally, I think you're asking too much. From the sounds of it it's pretty beaten up. And the mods usually bring down the value regardless of how good. I think the Billy Squire autograph would be the only reason to pay $550, other than the Bigsby. |

yeah idk the acctual price but id take lower thats why i said offer... i honestly dont know... the autograph wouldnt raise it too much at all
i think there like 700 new. i know the slash one is like 1000 new and its litterally the exact same as a regular plus cept the pickups...
your probably right though, however id prefer to take offers then say my price is firm. because im open to a lot of stuff, prices, trades... |

Is this the legendary "Skitar"? That should add at least 100.00 to the price right there! |

Oh true this is the legendary skitar!
thinking about it and what ive put this guitar through (thanks to phip for reminding me) ive put the price at 800$
nah im just kidding, i think 400$ would be nice.
by the way im including the original pickups too and the original bridge, and tuners, so if one wanted they could totally make this original and profit on selling the extra struff probably.
However the guitar plays and sounds i think really well, the bridge pickup may be slightly too hot for my needs now but honestly its a solid instrument.
if anyones interested at all, make an offer or trade, however i guess thinking about it 400$ would be a price id like. im solid on returns if you dont like it so yeah...
the neck id say is a 60s stlye (thinner) neck but i find its very solid and very playable and a fast neck. |

I would put some high quality pics of it here Emb.
I also think there should be a category for these kinds of posts like "instruments and Gear for sale". |

I'd keep the guitar and buy a new one. I do think this is an appropriate place for this thread though!
Ozzfan is also correct in saying modifications lower the value of the instrument. If you paid $350 for it used (how many years ago? How is old is the guitar?), It can't be worth more than $300 without playing it.

I agree with GS. Despite it being an Epiphone, the Bigsby could come in handy in a situation where you need a tremolo. Recording, covers, experimentation, etc. Plus it looks cool, and is definitely unique. |

I'd say $400 is a fair price. mod's lower high end guitars retail value however it's an EPIPHONE!!!! those replaced pickups should raise the value of it. Those baby's stock are all over CL down here for for $400-$500 some modd'd or not. if you looking to sell fast drop to $350.
otherwise put it back to stock and part the rest out. |

yeah well im not exactly hard pressed to sell it so 400$ for it now or i can take off the pickups and put back the originals and itd be 250$ anx youd still get the bigsby, i dont want to remove the bigsby because to install it you need to drill 4 small holes and honestly i dont think anyone would want that showing |

my advice: list it on craigslist. yes we're all guitar people here, but you are looking at a not-that-big, international audience. even if i was interested, why would i buy your guitar and have it shipped from wherever, USA, when i can just find one locally on craigslist?
even if you value the guitar at $300, i would put it on craigslist and ask for $500. expect to have people offer lower. make $300 your lowest possible price and see what people are willing to pay for it. you could get $350, you could get $400, you could get some people low balling you and offer $250 at which point you can tell them no. unless you really want the $250...
occasionally i've had people offer my inflated asking price for an item for sale (i buy and sell camera gear frequently on CL). i even give them an out with one final "and the asking price is okay?" and if they don't bother to haggle i'm not going to force them to...
BUT, not only can you probably get more money on CL, it's also safer. meet in a public place and accept cash only and there isn't much that can go wrong. when you deal with the internet and shipping, even on a "trusted" site like this (you don't know me or what i might do) there are too many things that can go wrong. |

i already have an offer for it on here... and really split on selling it. i rarely use it however its my travel guitar... however the money would be nice... and craigslist ive been ed with and listed stuff on there to have it never sold...acctually was thinking of selling this guitar on CL and listed it a while back never got anything... |
