Hey guys and gals please take a listen and tell me what you think of this sample from one of my projects.
Honestly, I hate adding drums and bass using a Casio but I just wanted to get my song out.

@ League,
I had a problem with the link. It took me to your page but the song wasn't playable so i clicked on "elmascabron" and that took me to the page with your four songs listed and i clicked on "sample song" but it still wouldn't play. The only one that played was the audacity sample. Putfile does have it's problems doesn't it? They are so damn slow! anyway i enjoyed the audacity sample, but couldn't hear the rest.

@ League,
My thought is to drop the drums. Your playing was fun to listen to but the drums were very distracting. I like the sound of your guitar. and you kept time for most of the song after the intro part. Nice job

I really like it, it shows a lot of potential. I'm not too keen on the bit after 50 seconds though, it sounds really bad. I can't make out whether it's the drums or the overdubbed guitar though.
The drums aren't too bad, maybe if you added a few FX to the drums (bit of reverb, etc) it would make them sound a bit more life-like. You could also probably back the drums volume off a little bit. Are you using a keyboard for the drums? Hydrogen is a freeware program that could be worth checking out. The drums sound a bit raw on there but you can export them as .wav and then add a bit of reverb in Audacity or whatever you use. |

I'm not much for the lead guitar at all. I mean your playing is GREAT, but its either the tone or the recording, I just don't like it personally. All else is good though. I agree with BHS, maybe put some effects on the drums. |

I liked this. Although I'm also not sure if it was the recording or what but I thought about past the 50 range it didn't sound as good. But as soon as a minute came I thought the drums sounded great with the guitar personally if you did want them to solo, but when it was continuous to the end I didn't like the drums, I personaly would like to hear the guitar have it's main part ending. I know your guitar playing is amazing, it made that clear in the begining and before the end. It's certaintly better then anything I've done. Don't let any of that put you down if it sounds a bit negative though, that was all my personal thoughts. Thanks for posting it. |

For some reason it won't play, did you delete it by accident? |

Thanks for the listen guys I know the mixing was horrible and so were the drums but I'll be uploading some new songs soon with lower gain and better timing.

Gotta agree with Phip, Your riffs are good, fast and interesting to listen but those drums kinda horrible kills the mood right away.
Cheers!

Damn man! To rule nation have very good riffs...again...that song make no justice how good your riffs are. Btw, do you make drums or guitar first?
In that blues you had mood, sounds not cutted over as bad than those heavier stuff... best part was imo 00:14 - 01:32., but also later are nice tricks and stuff, but main theme lost a bit cuz improvisation... Nice job!
Keep it goin!

I do drums after because Its so hard to keep time on a Keyboard I use the rhythm to guide my drums although I am not in time about half the time.
I really like the later part of the blues song. I like the feel and dynamics.
I will be posting new songs soon.
Thanks guys. |
