Some punk wankers were talking about how great he was, and how he was the king of punk. WTF? Do these people even care about all the horrible things he did? As a matter of fact, I said to one of them, "You respect someone who raped a woman?". Know what his reply was? "That's about as punk as it gets".

Baude: Since when is punk about raping women? He doesn't sound like a punk, he just sounds like an idiot. Any 'punk' who said that to you Skold has completely missed the point. Ugh. |

I think he died in '93. He did kind of embody punk, though. He didn't give a shit what other people thought or said. Well, maybe he really cared too much and acted like he didn't. Whatever. |

They'd probably agree with you. None of them knew how to actually play their instruments. Punk isn't about musicianship, it's about aggression.
Based on that, I'd say that this guy probably is a fair representation of punk at it's furthest extremes. Sounds like a dick though. Most real punks are :D |

His music was probably good Punk. I mean some people write good music or are celebrities and still commit murders and other crimes. Just look at O.J. Simpson. He was a good football player and even better actor |

that's disturbing... People can sometimes have the greatest upbringings, yet still contain a dark and twisted mind. It's kind of scary when you think about it. |

Hi everyone, just to let you know that all these years I have been posing as some crazed nutter from England with an afro, when in fact my real name is Billie Joe Armstrong. I play in a punk band called 'Green Day' - you might have heard of us, we're quite famous actually. Anyway, seeing as you all obviously love the punk music and attitude I thought I'd just show my face and hope that some of us could get to be quite good chums... |

Really Afro? Well, I'll still treat you like a normal human (who loves nipples). Some people might spam you now with "OMG OMG OMFG I LUV U!!!" etc. now that you've come out of the closet. Enjoy :D
Cool that you're on here, and learning too though. |

Since when Punk was born by Malcolm McClaren who managered New York Dolls.. started an anti fashion shop in London where he started to sell fetish style stuff and so on which was named SEX. Orginal Punk cuture was around in music at start, but then got new form in Great Britain for counter attack against society what they considered as rot.
Definately baudelaire in their culture was NOT contained raping and that is not punk. I think you know that anyway. I dun not know much bout Punk, but i know that GG whatever is not as near king of punk.
@Afro
If that is not a joke Im stunned :D |

rape is destructive and wrong; therefore, a movement whose morality can be summed up as 'mindless nihilism' and 'destruction of self and every thing else' should admire a rapist. it's not called PUNK for nothing.
and green day is about as punk as the jonas brothers, as a matter of fact. i know that, and i like a total of 2 punk bands. |

INteresting view Baudelaire, why should they admire a rapist? I've had friends who've thought about raping someone, quite interesting to see inside those minds and find out why they like it. But I still think it's seriously wrong. |

Well, I agree with Baud's point: Punks want to be destructive, countercultural. Rape is destructive and countercultural (seeing as how most people don't rape).
Also, it's kind of like saying "F. U." to the government by breaking laws. They set up these laws to protect (or control, depending on how you look at it) people, and a rapist is just throwing out these rules (in essence rebelling).
And of course rape is very wrong, and you'd have to be twisted in the head to think it's not. People have a right to who they let into their bodies, and if someone tries to get in without permission, there's something wrong with them. They don't understand or can't see the boundaries of personal space, or if they know its wrong, then they have little or no morals.

Its domination Jazz, feeling of power over the other being, that usually is different gender.
but movement of punk and all that belong to that culture is against SOCIETY, not against invidual or females. How there can be Punk girls? if raping is part of Punk? c'mon...
Doh... feels like I talk to walls... |

Yeah, I'm all up for going against the government, they suck. But what I don't get is picking on innocent people, I'd be cool with it if they raped those in charge. :P
I get it then, I didn't know if it was just rape in general, or to define Punk. Then yeah, I agree too.
My (former) friends knew it was wrong, and they said they liked the fact that they suffered, they enjoyed seeing their reaction and watching them feel useless and fear over this power that dominates them. Usually it was aimed at the women they hated. But by hearing that it was obviously time for me to get the fuck away from them. BDSM (for dominatrix) is one thing, but come on...
People are entitled to their own opinion, and I have no desire in changing who anyone is, but that is most definitely not what I would consider fun. |

honestly, the majority of damage that rape causes exists because of societies indoctrination. rape is awful, but the reason it completely wrecks a persons life is because society has taught them that it should; that after wards, they are worth less, that they are eternally ruined because of it.
if we as a society viewed it as a serious problem, but acknowledged that it should not be a event that ruins your life, a lot of people would be a lot better off. women that are emotionally scarred their entire lives by rape, wouldn't be, if they weren't raised to believe that it SHOULD ruin their lives. |

Doesn't really matter if they've had sex or not, it's their enjoyment of watching that person scream and beg... it's horrible...
I've realised the fact that it's possible, and if it happens to me, it happens. But there are sooo many women/girls who have mental break downs because they're unable to handle that violation... |

I know a guy who had a daughter, but she was raped by a local court judge, because of that, she got aids, and now she is dead
Now seriously dude, would you account the hardship that her father now has to go through because society says he should? |
