@ EMB,
Welcome to my world! Glad you enjoyed them, they are one of the great bands of my era. Now lets see if you were paying attention.
Q. in the rock opera Tommy, what was Tommy's last name?
Didn't know there was going to be a quiz after the show did you?
P.S.
Sorta like watching the Red Sox play wasnt' it? Fantastic!!!!!

Oh yeah, they are good. But wasnt it Hendrix who owned them by burning guitar cuz he couldnt crash it that it was already booked for Pete Townsend? :P

Yeah, in the Monterey on sunday '67 Who performed before Hendrix and give hell of a show ended for Who smashing their instruments...well, Hendrix was inspired by that and he just had to "beat" them :D.

The Who are awesome, I wish I saw them live. One day I shall!! :D

haha That's when you know they're having a good time. Though I don't think I'd ever smash any of my guitars. They're just too cool, and each hold unique memories. (sentimental moment)

I think it just destroys a person's hard work in building the thing. Although, now-a-days they're built by machines, but still.

Actually when Hendrix burned his guitar, it produced the sound never heard before acclaimed by rock fanatics... if we try to get some reason to have those beauties destroyed...

It's true, Hendrix set fire to his guitar because he didn't want to be thought of 'copying' The Who (got an article on it somewhere can't be arsed to find it)
Also The Who are good yes but I find myself unable to listen to them often...it just starts getting to apoint where I have to change the song constantly =[

See Me, Feel Me is my favorite who song. It gives me the chills. Epic.

Listening to you I get the music.
Gazing at you I get the heat.
Following you I climb the mountain.
I get excitement at your feet!
Right behind you I see the millions.
On you I see the glory.
From you I get opinions.
From you I get the story.
Listening to you I get the music.
Gazing at you I get the heat.
Following you I climb the mountain.
I get excitement at your feet!

@EMB5490

regarding how you discover music. In my mind before i had discovered the who, there was no who, I herd of them but never really listened to them.

did not care fore them one way or another. then I listen to them and really appreciated them hence I've discovered the who and i liked what i heard.

Argh, why couldn't my generation like The who when I was 9?! We had to play hangman in class one day (as it's very educational) and then we had to do bands when I had to play hangman, then after 20 minutes my teacher had to notice it was 'The Who' and the other kids laughed at me and said I was old and were clueless as to who they were, I yelled and argressivly pointed at the board "THE WHO!" :'( They were so mean.

Anyways I'll look at your vids tomorrow EMB, right now I have no sound so it'll jusr ruin it for me.

Hey Skold,
you just won an all expense paid trip to Finland!
you'll be staying at the famous Empirism Hotel where "Americans check in but they don't check out"!
Later you'll dine with the locals (they'll have knives, you won't) and then take a scenic tour of the local river bottom.
Damn you give us yanks a bad name! LOL

@Empirism,
I like your posts! takes me a little while to figure them out but it's fun, sort of like doing the morning crossword puzzle. Don't let Skoldy shove you around, sock him! yeah
