American politics are complete bullshit. Maybe if someone that actually said and did what they believed in, maybe if it was for the good of our country rather than what their thought-narrowing party wants, maybe when a person who's not a "vote for me not him" zombie runs. Maybe I'll care. Until then, they can waste their mud-slinging, self-promoting (which you have to do, I guess, it's the way they do it) crap on someone else. |

True. I mean, I doubt any of them will actually do ANYTHING that they say. Still, can't be worse than our 8 years with George.
Anyway, I digress. BACK ON TOPIC! |

Did you have this date yet? Why watch American Beauty? Not exactly chick flick or romantic comedy. I'm just curious. A few years ago I went on a date with some girl and there wasn't anything in the theaters. So I take her back to my apartment and let her pick a movie (I shared an apartment in college w/ 3 other guys all with big movie collections). She chooses Fight Club thinking she already saw and liked it. Suffice to say that it wasn't what she thought it was, was grossed out, and the date headed even further south. I think my favorite date movie now is Legends of the Fall... almost a chick flick, but not quite. |

Obama seems like a dude in my opinion.
Yeah Skold, I'm with you on the death penalty.
Why should our taxes fund toward prisons which get plasma TVs?
HAHA... NO.

and to go off topic and back to politics....
It does not really matter what jack ass you put into the office. they are just part of the problem. The other part is congress, who do nothing.
I have a real problem with both candidates, they are both congress men. They sit in an auditory and vote, sometimes may give a speak or sit in a room and discuss things. How is that any kind of F#(k leadership?
regardless of what people thing about Bush the man had balls and lead in some of America's toughest times, maybe in the wrong direction but he was a leader. I don't see how congressmen can say they are any kind of leader. Governors are often become candidates because they actually run a state but the run something other than their mouths.
I'm voting for McCain because Sara Palin would make a kick ass first woman president. besides look at obama's voting record!
but bar non the best candidate was Ron Paul

I think maybe there should be a political thread.
I have always wounded how someone could be Pro choice and Anti-death penalty or Pro-Live and Pro death penalty.
how can you say that life begins at conception and ends and the committing of a crime. It's just illogical.
should read innocent man by john grisom |

I always liked the ending of "Legends of the Fall." You know, with the guy with the gravelly voice narrating the rest of the one dude's life. |

Yeah, it happens, and that's unfortunate. But, we still need to do something about the monsters of our society.

Well, back to the topic, when is this date going to happen? lol
Plus, my vote is for a comedy, if you make the girl laugh, then your doing something right
Thats just my opinion tho, you could be going more for the romantic type of date |

UPDATE!
She's unsure.
Her: well how could i do that when i cant even get you to say hi to me at church?
Me: Forgive my timing, but I'm coming out of my shell. Now, you know I'm crazy about you - Let me try and show you.
Note: I'm quite un-social, and I talk to almost no one. ever.

Her: jazz i know... maybe after i can atleast get you to say hi to me face to face. i no your coming out of your shell and im proud of you and im proud of how much your growing to love god... but before i could go over or something like that we need to hang out like in a group activity you know what i mean come to volleyball on wednesday or the youth activity on friday something like that first (and actually chill with me there)
Me:
You're gonna make me work for this, aren't you?.....
Her: oh yea lol
Me: You know, I could find another girl that wouldn't make me do anything. Then again, I doubt I could find another girl like you. (You've got a deal, in so many words)

Her: well then go ahead... i mean i cant like or even chill with someone who wont talk to me in person and always hides behind a computer or a cell phone... im not trying to be mean or n e thing trust me im just being honest... if you really like me n wanna have a chance with me your going to have to make an effort to socialize in person
Me: Harsh, but not unwarranted. You've got yourself a deal, miss. However, I can't do anything Wednesday because I will be out of town (and no, I'm not trying to talk my out - I'll be in Belton because Bro. Kang is the guest speaker at my old church, yada yada yada).
Note: That last one busted a cap where the sun don't shine
Her: thats cool lol
Me: So......how ya doin?

Um, OK fair enough, but would you be saying the same thing if you were the big black dude who wanted to heal everyone and got smokied instead?
Is it just me or does The Green Mile bear a striking resemblance to Jesus and the crucifixion? (bear in mind I am in no way religious)

Ok, so I got a few ideas for you now:
1. Get a bunch of common friends to meet up for dinner/coffee/etc.
2. You know her a little, so figure out something that she's never done which the two of you could do and she'd like. ie...White water rafting. It might be difficult to figure something out, but the plus side is that you'll have given her a memorable night.
3. See if she is interested in volunteer work and maybe you can spend a day together while working for Habitat for Humanity or some other charitable organization. |

Keniemn's tips are pretty good. I'd fall for that. As with CTown, even though volunteer work is nice, I don't think that'd be the best thing to do (if it were a date). Although, it shows that you care for the world. Which would be a winner.
Yeah, unfortunately us women are complicated. The majority of us want to know you properly before we even step forth into a relationship. When I say properly, I mean it's not exactly going to be fast action for you, Skold. She's going to want to know what you like and and dislike and what "grinds your gears" before she even considers a relationship.
BUT, keep being a sunshine, make sure to just have fun and enjoy yourself with her, she'll like to see that happy side. |

Hehehe, I love the way you guys have gone off topic that's ment to be about The American Brit's idea's for planning a nice evbening with his girlfriend went into Death penalty's, Obama and such! Cutt that out, if she see's this thread she's going to be REAL insulted on how that all come up! :O
Anyway, I could be wrong, I've never been on a date in my life what with being the only young youth who's not a...to put it politely in spanish, perrea, these days. So If it was a first date how I could be thinking of it as, I would hate that. But since you've experianced dates already I suppose it would be alright.
Now, back to the biggest eye-catching, a little relvant subject still, yes, I think we should stab all those perverts! Go on, KILL THEM ALL!
- From the possibly slightly murderous 15-year-old girl! |
