hmm, i like to wear what im usually wearing when playin lol(as long as theyre like really nice, mostly plain or edd hardy i lovvvee edd hardy), guitar color doesnt matter much, guitar body warlock, actually my guitar bc rich im in love with it, we have a special relationship
but actully what i really care about is what i wear in my hands, not the disgusting rubber bands and stuff... a black glove the one with half-covered fingers, with Nm written on it same as guitar color(left hand, especially when wearing a black sweater the one with the cap at the back and zippers in the middle its like a jacket dunno what do u call it), or a bc-rich wristband(came with the guitar, left hand too) and sometimes some tape on the fingers the white one that u get it from a pharmacy or drug store
and most importantly leave ur strings on the head of the guitar as they are when u change them dont cut them or curl them

you can't make yourself different with clothes. if you participate in fashion to any extent, you're the same as the kids that wear expensive clothing of a certain brand, you just have a different taste. it's all the same, though. you should look at something besides fashion styles to judge people.

Baud, you know what separates the label *s from us? The fact that we're cool with our clothes coming from Wal-Mart instead of Sean John.

It's not the taste in clothes that's different, it's the taste in social image.

Nice phip. my favorite car is a 1966 mustang fastback, black. Also love the big blocks. When I was 17 I put a 350 olds big block with a 950 carter 4 barrel in an 87 camaro. nothing sounds like a big block and a set of flow masters.

it's still fashion. you can't say you're better then them or smarter or anything because of the woven vegetable matter you drape your body with. that's silly. clothes and social image are all just parts of fashion, even if you pick the less popular side... you're still playing the game. i'm not saying it's bad, i'm just saying don't talk down to people that buy expensive clothing to put out a image; the only difference between that and buying cheap clothing to put out the opposing image is that the latter is more economic.

let me ask you; if you saw a reasonably priced hollister/sean john shirt that you really liked the look of, would you buy it?

by other words, fashion serves as a reflection of SOCIAL and economic status, so it explains the function of popularity in a genration..

You assume that I really care what people think of me, Baud. I mean, I like to look nice, but I could go out looking like Kurt Cobain after a Friday night of liquor binging and still be cool with it.

I am smarter in the fact that I'm not wasting 80 bucks on 1 shirt, though. I don't choose to wear what I wear just so I can say I'm some working class hero. I just wear it.

Most every person I've ever met who wore Sean John, Abercombie & Fitch and what not only wore it because of the name on the label. Why is this? Because the majority of people who buy those clothes tend to be douchebags.

I have nothing against them for having enough cash to be able to afford those clothes. I just think it's REALLY stupid to blow 80 bucks on a shirt.

EDIT: And another thing: who in their right mind would pay a couple hundred for a purse that MIGHT hold a stick of gum?

I wear jeans and T-shirts from the swap meet because theyre cheap and it helps to distinguish myself from those guys who wear all that fancy clothes. Denim lasts longer than most other fabrics, thats just a fact.

Well, just because you don't spend the money doesn't make you smarter Skold. It makes you more economic. Is it still stupid if they have the money to blow? What if they *really* like that shirt?

Sometimes I buy cheap, sometimes I buy a little more expensive. You often get better quality clothes at higher prices. Sometimes you just get a name. It's a very hard subject. I've spent 40 quid (about 80 USD) on a hat and 30 quid (about 60 USD) on a belt. Sometimes that's more than the cost of both the jeans and t-shirt I'm wearing but I didn't buy them thinking "people will think I'm cool". I'd only call myself stupid if the money mattered to me that much at that time, as it so happened I felt like buying.

I agree with Baude, but there are loads of people not participating in fashion. People who truly don't care... myself, I care (not an awful lot but I do care).

Baudelaire also said that the shirt was reasonably priced. So to our standard of reasonably priced, not the rich standard.

£30 on a belt?! Doz, that's just a con.

I honestly don't care about style. I wear what I wear, though I can't buy anything I like because nothing sells what I like. I may as well make it. I think they style is getting worse than ever before. I see old people dressing as if they're 14 year olds. Why? Because they want to look young? Probably one reason. The main reason though is because the stupid stores sell nothing for older people!

No one can be themselves anymore. It's all about the image. This creates judgement and chaos between the apposing sides. We’ll never have the luxury to not worry about what we look like, even though casual people say “We don’t actually care what women look like” Yes, actually, you do. You’re not going to like some woman who wears rags and has pimples all over her face.

There’s some standard of “OK” looking. There always will be. It’s another means of entertainment for our human desires.

80 dollars. 40 quid on a shirt. It's not exactly terrible... I've seen worse.

It was a good belt jazz, never seen one like it before and since.

ahaha! I love that one SixtiesGuy!

That's my point Doz, it's a belt. I know the more you spend - hopefully - better the quality, but I think this world is just a fiend. There's no such thing as a free world.

I also agree. I really didnt care about fashion until about two years back. I just wore whatever my dad bought me. Now I care a bit more.

EDIT: Sorry, I meant to quote Doz on that.
