I just found out that Lynyrd Skynyrd is coming to Lexington KY on May 30th, which is only about sixty miles from where I live. This will actually be my first concert... So what is your favorite concert that you have ever been to? |

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Majedski Stadium, Reading, UK. 3rd July 2006
Talking of Reading, who's seen the festival lineup? Metallica and RATM headlining! No more of that indie bullshit! Well, not as much anyway. |

EMB, It would be hard to beat Lynyrd Skynyrd for me. They are the first band that I really got in to and they have always been my favorite. The main attraction for me will be Garry Rossington he is the only original Skynyrd guitarist left. |

I have only been to two concerts: Rod Stewart (my mom made me go when I was around 8... BARF!) and El Monstero, which is a local Pink Floyd tribute band, which was freakin awesome. |

best show....hmmm.....
I saw Alice in chains, Rage against the Machine, and Primus and Loolapalooza in 92' and tool played the 2nd stage. that was great, but by far not even close to being the best.
I also saw this band from around Iowa (I'm in Iowa) called House of Large Sizes i think that is the best show ever. they were so into and the audience and played with heart and soul. I don't even think they are around anymore witch is too band i would love to get my hands on some of their music. |

Lynnyrd Skynnyrd are definitely a treat live. Smashing Pumpkins are a good show. My favorite concert was Blind Melon, but they just had a lot of energy. |

The Band about 15 years ago, they did a free concert in a park in NJ. I've only been to 4 concerts One was I took my wife to see Barry Manalow (yuk) and one time I took my youngest son to see the Teenage Mutent Ninja Turtles in concert, (you've never lived until you've seen that one). The first one was back in 1970 in Philly there was a one day rock festival in one of the parks. There was 3 bands but I don't remember who played cause that was back in my druggie days and the whole thing was just a blur |

MegaDave!!
It was good, but my favorite concerts have been put on by Dave Matthews Band. Truly amazing, inspiring, enlightening, uplifting...
The best is the guest performers invited on stage for some extra jam time (although the whole show is practically one. The talent spread from each musician, it's a band I'd love to see every year.
Their shows are like the DMB lyric goes,
"Love, Love Love, is all around." |

I'm seeing gigantour may 9th, that'll probably become my favorite concert... but at this point I'd have to say Slayer and Manson this summer was my favorite, it was total insanity, complete with Christian fanatics screaming at us with bullhorns and protesting us, telling us we would burn in hell for seeing the concert, and then a bible burning on stage, which sent the crowd into a total frenzy. |

man i forgot about van halen. i saw their david lee roth/sammy hagar tour a few years ago, its was wicked. Iron Maiden isnt that great live. Too dramatic. My buddy saw Rush a while back and said it was the best show of his life. |

I saw quite a few bands as a teenager back in the '60's but the best of all I saw was Free in 1969 just before they became really famous with 'All right now' They were supporting a band called 'Soft Machine' at an all night 'rave in' just outside of Hull where I live. They were incredible. I've never seen a band so tight either before or since. It was a shame for 'Soft Machine' though, nobody bothered to stay around after Free had been on.To be fair though, it was about 4 in the morning. The promoters should have had their a**es kicked! |

Thats sound really cool deefa,my best in my own opion was Ozz Fest 2000, I havent played in awhile ( well years) and my older bro took me to it (he has never missed a ozz fest ) since it started and took me there cause he hasnt bought me a birthday present in 15 years and what a time, on the main stage at the end was Godsmack, Panterra and then Ozzy , Ozzy to me wasnt impressive to me but Godsmack and Panterra stole the show on the main stage, and that is what got me playing again, Major talent .....Inspiring. |

I cant remember who was playing guitar with Ozzy but it wasnt Zack and I remember that they played Crazy Train and the leads sucked I was disapointed but all in all good show.GS I bet Lamb of God was really good! I also seen Rush in the late 70's I have allways been a Neil Pert fan |

yea it was almost sad to see Zakk try and play randy's leads...but he did a decent job. they didnt play crazy train though...zakk prolly realized he couldnt do it hehe...dont get me wrong, i think he's a great player...but he is very overrated in skill level. |

I saw Allan Holdsworth a few years back and I couldn't play guitar for 2 weeks afterward cos I was totally humbled. The guy is an alien! |
