i have this
F sus2 b5 /B
E-X
B-8
G-10
D-13
A-10
E-7
it pretty much killed my hand the first time i tried it, the D# on the B string and the B on the low E have to be barred at an angled, its messed, i got it from a local winnipeger's video. |

Yeah, i tried, and there is just no chance i will be able to convince my fingers to make that shape.
I just always wind up muting the g and b strings with my pinky! |

I didn't think I could do it but I did after half a minute of trying.
I've been trying out those 'crooked' barres once before, too. I think that comes in handy when you just don't have anymore fingers left. |

whats the biggest stretch you guys can do? mine is with my index finger on the E on the B string (fret 5) and the pinky on the 13 on the high E string (F). That would be interesting to hear ^^
i could just play the chord. But try doing it in a quick jazzy chord progression ^^ |

Ah right, I get it now with the 3nps. Thats a good one. Gilbert has got a lot of wide spread string skipping in some of his songs. |

That chord is just evil. You should realy transcribe it dude... I mean, there's no point struggling to play that chord when you can play the exact same chord in a different position.
Two chords I used to have difficulty playing when I first learnt John McLaughlin's 12/8 track... these are the chords:
E - 2
A - X
D - 4
G - 0
B - 2
E - 0
E - 3
A - X
D - 4
G - 4
B - 2
E - 0
And it's played like....
E |-------------0---------------0-----------------0-----------------0--
B |-------2---------------2-----------------2-----------------2--------
G |----------0---------------0-----------------4-----------------4-----
D |----4---------------4-----------------4-----------------4-----------
A |--------------------------------------------------------------------
E |-2---------------2--------------0--3--------------0--3--------------
E |-----------------0--------------0--|
B |-----------2--------------2--------|
G |--------------0--------------0-----|
D |--------4--------------4-----------|
A |-----------------------------------|
E |--0--2--------------2--------------| And Repeat!!
This is in 12/8 time signature if you didn't read above.

Hehe here is one I that came up for me one day.
C6 or Am7, its only hard when you look at it for the first time. Give it a try.
e - 3
B - 1
G - 2
D - 2
A - X (of open if you would like)
E - 3
Its a fun chord and can be great with some other sixth or seventh major chord progressions. |

Yeah, you need you thumb to play it. I wuite often use my thumb to get some bass notes, i think it a great thing to do.
In Technical difficulties gilbert uses an evil diminished stretch, only minor thirds, but if played up to speed its quite hard to get them. |

@Jazz
Right. Every time I start to think of a Mahavishnu Orchestra song that I think I can play, this happens! There's no such thing as an easy Mahavishnu song! |
