band i honestly think are mega overrated and why:
Metallica-riffs are to slow and simple. drummer is too cocky for his own level of skill, guitarist is, lets be honest mediocre, james i hate your voice, bass guy... you're cool
Beatles-never made a song that made me go "WHAT THE FU(K DID THEY PLAY THERE?!!?" or "That was amazing!!" its usually "meh"
Ozzy/Sabbath:how did this guy even make it?

I'm glad opinions are opinions and not facts. Just my opinion.

Without coming off as being too rude, I am going to guess that from this post, you are two things: A) Under 21, likely under 18 and B) never studied percussion.

Metallica and The Beatles, when listened to in their respective time periods, were innovative at the least. And Lars helped shape essentially every rock band you currently listen to in one way or another. Is his post-Black album drumming intense and challenging? Nah, but the drumming does fit their tunes for that time. However, With Justice and everything prior, his drumming is nothing short of immense. Although, I will say, he is quite the prick and is indeed arrogant. All I am saying is that his drumming does indeed match his arrogance.
