frets

Does anyone know how much a re-fret might cost? the high e and b strings oscillate between frets 11-15 if it matters, so about 5 frets are needed. But I don't know about what might be causing it, maybe one fret maybe all.
Any input greatly appreciated

if your going to re-fret do the whole thing and don't be a cheapskate, but a re-fret is needed when there is huge gouges(we all have are own versions of "huge") in the frets, and what your describing does not sound like it.

but I did google it, and I was getting all kinds of answers like 400 or 100 or 250. I wanted to know if somebody here could maybe help me out with it.

there's no 'gouges' but there is the natural indentation in the frets from the strings, I honestly just don't know what is causing it(the noise). It comes through with my tone horribly, very noticeable, its almost like I have two notes ringing at the same time, but one is not a 3rd or a 5th of the other. more like if A and E were ringing together. I am baffled at this. and I hate it.

I don't think its the frets because Ive seen this problem so many times and its usually bridge/saddle/ nut problem. IDK if you got a neckthrough guitar but if it is the frets I'd rather get a new neck.

i don't man I'm sorry. i would more than likely need it in my hands to know for sure(that's even if i could figure it out), but i'm going to back league's guess on bridge/saddle/ nut problem/ and add maybe a single fret problem(popping out, dead stop, ect), but getting a new neck would only cost more even if you don't like your neck now and even got one with frets installed you would still need a fret leveling and step up.

well,sorry i dont know anything about refretting prices =/ But i should,since the frets of My First RG Guitar are totally worn out

man worn frets is one of my biggest guitar concerns I love this neck, its the best part of my guitar.

I have a floyd rose trem on the guitar, but I am annoyed with the oscillating effect on the notes. I don't know what to do about it :(

my last re-fret was 20 years ago lol , Gibson Jumbos on my 60-something Fender Mustang (that Plank has been through a LOT haha)

you have a combination-problem = two unrelated 'problems' , one causing "the noise" and the other, the Frets ya noticed whilst trying to figure out the aforementioned sound.

I'd say it'd be a cheap fix, no more than a Bill no less than 25.

but like i said i'd have to hear/see this.

thanks guys, after a bit more searching on the net for some of the same types of problems(I don't know how to word it) I think it may be the truss rod. i have never had this problem before in the 3 months that I have owned and played it.
I'll try to upload a vid later today and I'll be sure to include some closeups of the frets, which as I found out this morning is now the entire e string being affected. Action doesn't do much to help, as I had cranked it way up and it only moved back the places that it is worse about a half step.
for an example of sound, bar the E and A strings in standard tuning at the 3rd fret and play those. It is very similar to what it sounds like.

Well I was talking to a friend the other day in college and she said she needed her Les Paul refretting too. She said she found someone willing to do it for £150 but we both agreed that sounded like a rip off, especially since hers is an accoustic! She could buy another one!

Anyway her offer might have been a rip off. But in case it wasn't I don't know the value of a dollar, but I think 99 US cents are worth 60p here. And 100p make £1 and I don't know how many cents make a dollar so you can try to use that to figure it out if you want...and if you could make any sense of what I just said!
