I'm assuming you're allergic to the strings, man. Something in them at least. Try changing them if you've got the money and know how to.
That, or you've got yourself a cursed harp. o.O
Try "Fast Fret" Rub it on your strings and it should put a coating around your strings. Although, don't take my word for this, if you are allergic, this could possibly make it worse. |

This might just be me being stupid but...
Isn't he talking about a harmonica? I've never heard of a harp in the classical sense being made specifically for blues, but I have heard the harmonica be called a blues harp before.
In which case, you need to dismantle your harp, and dip all the parts in some normal household anti-bacterial solution, there's obviously some *** in there that is living well off you. Harmonicas are generally quite easy to take apart and put back together again.
I remember having a similar problem when I used to play trombone, and the answer was to dip the whole thing in a bath of cleaning solution which killed all the germs off.
Good luck!

I have a harmonica from hohner, a special 20. Is yours a harmonica? I get cracked lips when I play it, of course that can get resolved though. But you need to clean it, I'm sure you do but try unscrewing it open on the ends, give it a throughal wash and screw it back together. But be aware of the problem I think there is, when we play harmonica we use our mouth a lot (I know, obviously!) but that's where we get air come in without a proper clean, so that's a major problem tha's hard to solve if we're getting a little ill from the air. I reccomend don't play with your operation booked, I know what you mean I get colds that last a while most the time I play.
...hmm...here's a thought, in future harmonica players should use our nose! |

I also get sick from harmonicas but not every time I play. Definetely clean it and chew gum or use limon es bueno para todo. |
