Hi Gang,
Well it’s been 1 year now since I started studying and playing as some of you know. I thought I would post a song that I just finished and get your thoughts. This is a cover of a Donovan song: Catch The Wind. It’s a simple love song, nothing too complicated and made really for one person on the acoustic guitar and that is why I chose it. Hopefully it shows average ability for a beginner of 1 year. Even if it’s not your “kind of music” I hope you’ll take the time to give it a try. Hope you like it and if not I’ll never speak to you again! LOL

hell yeah that was great, good job.
It reminded me of some good old folk singer/songwriter or maybe the birds. There seemed to be a lot of reverb on the vocals it gave it a nice psychedelic sound to it.
Keep it up |

Wow, Phip! That sounds as if it's been done like a pro!
Can't say I see myself that good in a year though, they saythe younger you are the sooner you learn, this would easily prove those people wrong ha. |

@BBT,
Yeah, that's me singing. It's a two track song. the guitar track was laid dowm easily, but i took quite a few attempts at the vocals to get what i wanted. I haven't had the opportunity to use the mixer much at all. I recorded several vocal tracks and this one is the one i liked best.
Thanks guys for the nice feedback,

Maximum respect Phip! And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks!!
Considering you've only been playing for a year, I reckon you've done old Donovan proud.
Now bark you ***!(female dog) |
