maybe someone should put all guitar chords on myspace we could add it to our own friends list, and get more people on the site.

The reason I like this site so well is because it's not that big. If it was as crowded as some of the other sites like UG I probably wouldn't visit the site as often. |

I agree with LP and League, too many people would make me lose interest. |

im new here but the reason i joined this and not ug is cos it seems more sort of approachable and you can ask questions without getting a load of stick from "experts" who obvioulsy knew everything from the start.
itd be bad to ruin it by getting too many people.
just my opinion tho.

I agree, on a big place like UG, if you make a thread with a topic that's already been made, there will be 15 answers with people saying nothing but "use the searchbar, n00b", and it can be discouraging, especially for a new player. |

i dont have a myspace, but w/e.
ye, we should delete an inactive users account, and keep sorta a member limit eventually maybe? or maybe ther should be a type of account? some ppl just post, some just put licks n lessons on, and some just like using the site, somthing like tht. i also feel ther should be a section, for members only, for members to put well tabbed songs up, and experianced guitar players should just regulate them to make sure they are good tabs. i am afraid tht if the tabs for songs are for non members, the site will become swamped, and thts the llast thing we all want. |

hah! u dont know wut a whammy bar does...its...umm...omg what does it do? lol. i was actually gona ask this b4, i was gona ask what it does to change the tone, making it higher or lower, it has somthing to do with making the strings losser and tighter, am i right? |

I can't tell if this question is serious because I didn't read the few posts preceeding it, but it alters the pitch. |

no it is...i never understood how the whammy works, i heard it shortend or lengthend the strings, am i right? |

Well sort of. It released and tightens the tension of the strings. Obviously the strings don't just somehow get longer and shorter, but it makes the distance between the head and the bridge less and more which alters the pitch. |

LOL another question answered here at All-Guitar-Chords! @ Doz my question was not serious but it was when I first posted it like three years ago. I think that was my first topic before that I only posted on a few threads. |

doesn't a whammy move the bridge forward and back? |

Moves the back end, which the saddles rest upon, up (and down if you have the height on the block). |
