I am probably gonna get bashed but I really enjoy listening to Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves lyrics. They just have so much power, emotion, and feeling in them. I just think both are amazing bands. |

Yeah, James Maynard Keenan from Tool is an awesome lyricist. I love Tool, they have such atmospheric songs, like Wings pt 1 and 2 from 10000 days, or Eulogy from Aenema. I think my favorite Tool song though is Parabola from Lateralus. It's preceded by Parabol which is a 3 minute intro with clean guitars, gentle cymbals and spaced out vocals and then the volume swells, and Adam Jones plays this awesome lead part with delay and reverb, and the song never looks back. At the end, the song gradually dies out, playing the same riff as in Parabol. I really dig Adam Jones' somewhat minimalist style, he plays what suits the song rather than mindless noodling. |

he's the guitarist in RHCP, but he has also released lots of solo albums. I have two of his solo albums, as well as a free album I downloaded from his website which has really lofi songs. I'm not massively keen on his solo work to be honest. Having said that, he does have some really good songs like "Going Inside", "Ramparts" (a minute long instrumental with just 2 acoustics and 2 electrics I think - beautiful) and "Second Walk". John's vocals aren't amazing in the two albums I have, but I'm pretty sure he's got better in recent years.
I'm a fan of APC, although I do prefer Tool. |

I really like Frusciante´s stuff. Actually his music got me to pick up the guitar, few years ago. Much respect.

Roger Waters/David Gilmour, Layne Staley/Jerry Cantrell, Page & Plant, Hendrix/his mind on drugs, Axl Rose (Don't bash for that, just listen to "Estranged"), Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, Mick & Keif and pretty much whoever helped them write in the 70's, Brad Nowell, Chris Cornell, Tom Petty, and a bunch more that I'm probably missing, but my absolute favorites are there.
