Apparently the yardstick for difficulty used my many musicians is 'the flight of the bumble bee'
The only two guitarists I've heard of who can achieve this song properly are Richie Blackmore and John Petrucci. There may be more, I don't know.

Well, on the fact that I don't play much electric...
I think some of Antoine Dufour's work is really hard to play accurately... he has a great technical understanding of teh guitar and really meshes everything together for a real unique sound.
Also, have a look at "Wring that neck" performed by Blackmore in his pre Strat days (I think I already mentioned it on a different thread). You'll find it on either the 'Deep Purple rock review' DVD or the Deep Purple 'Concerto for group and orchestra' CD. I've never attempted to play it myself, I know my limitations!
Also, have a listen to his solo on 'Gates of Babylon' on the Rainbow 'Long live rock and roll' album.
I think you'll find these two pieces will be enough to stretch ANYONE'S fingers!
One of the finest examples of 'trilling' I've ever seen/heard is on the "Deep Purple Rock review 1969-1972" DVD. It's at the end of the "Wring that neck" track. Blackmore performs a near perfect trill whilst drinking a bottle of beer with his right hand. Now that's showmanship!

Just copy the embedded code from the video and paste it on your post. I wouldnt reccomend posting too many videos. Just enough to prove your point. After the video is over you will see a two codes to the right of the video screen. One says Embedded. Make sure you copy the whole code because it is not fully displayed. One has to highlight the code and drag the arrow to see the full code. After that you just paste it on your post. If you wish to comment on the same post, simply skip a line and begin typing. Look at the JOHN WILLIAMS video on the menu. He plays the same song but you can really see the fretboard.

Jason Becker and Niccolo Paganini (violinist) but yeah. Jason is one of the fastest, and most brilliant guitarists. Not only can he play fast, but clean, and he can stretch his fingers all over the guitar. He is my favorite, and my inspiration is from him. Oh steve vai is also ver technical, he has a unique sound by using the whammy bar.

Some Necrophagist stuff... Watch Tower... Flight of the Bumble bee is pretty good too, I've heard Patruci play it as well as the bassist for Manowar (But he basiclly plays guitar with all his mods...).
