What is the best ?

You can't talk fact when talking about something like this. It's all opinion... what I might think is the worst guitar ever someone else might like. Remember that not all guitarists are after the same tone (amongst other qualities in guitar).

Same works with the best.

Okay, well then,
In your opinion, and in, a majority's opinion, what would be the worst guitar ?
Squiers seem to suck
I dont like them either
You do have a good point

I just meant like in a guitarist's knowledge, what would most guitarists agree is the worst one ?

a friend of mine had this old harmony from the 60's or 70's made of plywood and had brass frets. it was an electric guitar, and was 1" or 11/2 inches thick. it was one of the most difficult things to play it also had a tremello that would never stay in tune if you used it. it looked alot like this but slightly diffrent.

I think a guitar should look smooth and sleek, as though it was born and formed out of the earth naturally like a daisy on a crisp spring morning. I have to admit I really dislike all BC Rich guitars, I think they look and sound disgusting and seem to exist entirely to supply metalheads who aren't really any good at guitar but call themselves 'guitarists'! Oooh, I reckon I've just pissed off a good few people there, but hey...

Afro I completely agree with you man... Screw those people they probably suck at guitar anyways. I don't even know why people think bc Rich's are even good guitars cause they're not.

I used to own a BC Rich Warlock Bronze Edition... Guess how much i paid for it ? 500 bucks just about.. and when I got home I discovered FRET WARE ! It was a brand new freakin' guitar that just got to the store that day... That says something REAL good about the BC Rich company doesn't it !?

Worst part: I need like 50,000 pedals to make it sound half as good as my ION Starter guitar... Which was like 180 dolalrs with a crappy amp included. Pfft... I am exaggerating the pedals thing but I needed a lot of them...

The worst guitar in history is probably the "guitar" that some idiot in my school tried to make in woodwork.

There's no qualitative or quantative measure of how good or bad a guitar is, so it depends on what you think. Squire guitars aren't too bad - they only cost about £100 so they are an ideal guitar for beginners.

I'm not a fan of most B.C. Rich or Dean guitars (even though when they do normal looking guitars they look quite nice).

Unless you're paying $1,000 or more for a B.C. Rich guitar, chances are, you're buying a cheap piece of crap, that not only will sound like crap for its entire existence, but will also make you like a fool playing, what would appear to be, a fork that got stuck in the garbage disposal. I stand firm with my opinion on bc rich guitars...so we can be hated together afro.

Yes, not only was it super ugly, it was also junk. we wound up going Kurt Cobain on it at a show an old band but on. the best thing to ever happen to that guitar is when the neck snapped.

sorry if anyone is offended by the breaking of guitars, but, it just had to be put out of it's misery.

I agree Taug Yamaha acoustics can be nice. Simple design and not much money. I bought a Martin acoustic for cheap and I got what i paid for. Looked great but sounded terrible. Don't like BC RICH and unless the Dean is an acoustic I don't care for them either. But some of the exotic wood they use on Dean Acoustics are beautiful. I'm surprised that no one has offered up my favorite "worst guitar" Wal mart the proud sponsor of FIRST ACT!!!!

My favorite guitar would have to be Alvarez for the acoustic and Gibson les paul for electric. Never owned either mind you but I've enjoyed playing them in the maga mart guitar stores.

I like deans. I think they have kind of an 'edge' to them. Idk I just think they're cool, I like Razorbacks..

Teles are used in like every freakin' genre of music these days, mainly punk. I have played one (Fender) and it was pretty cool sounding. But idk if I would want to own one... maybe if I had lots of money

...hmm... I'd say it was LPs that were played most commonly... or LP style guitars anyway.

I think teles are the best looking guitars in history.Well, maybe not all history, but they look nice. they also play incredibly fast with jumbo frets.I think fenders are popular because they revolutionized electric guitar shapes. If you play close attention you'll see that mainstream classic rock bands play Gibson style guitars like Blackmore and Page. Soloists used Fender. Like Hendrix. I'm kind of glad that some people still prefer single coil tone. I only prefer it for Blues.

I agree with that, as for the single coils, I like them but it is that damn 60 cycle that gets to me. I really only use it for plus as well (my only single coil is my crappy ION guitar

I think they are good looking. Not the best looking guitars in history though... ;)

I hear a lot of people call them ugly but I just don't get it.

They're not ugly guitars at all ! I admit I get tired of seeing strat shaped guitars EVERYWHERE I go but I still think they're cool
