So here's a song that isn't really new, but actually was written and recorded(the rhythm sections anyways) about 6 months ago a couple days after a gig. Hated it immediately upon finishing it and basically threw it away, but found an old cd with the track on it. Decided to throw a solo on it today since I had time to sit and tinker with it.
Let me know what you guys think of the song overall :)

dude, that was awesome. when the heavy guitar first kicked in it blew me away. very professional sounding recording. get someone to write some lyrics to put over this, it'd be a sick ass song.

haha I'll keep that in mind when I can start recording on a proper setup again XD haha
Just set up a trash can with "Case's rejected song ideas" written on the side, they'll get there one way or another XD
thanks for listening dude
Dude, you are by far my favorite metalist in this forum!
I really like the song overall. The solo is great but it needs a tad more treble and maybe a little midrange to cut through. Also, there is a place somewhere in the first transition that sounds like something's missing. It's fine the way it is but some sort of transitional riff with the drums or something would make it even better!

Yeah the tone on the solo wasn't fantastic but I don't have a mic that would do my real amp any justice(I've got a great lead tone on it) so I had to settle with the VST/digital approach XD
They don't have a very meaty sound when it comes to leads haha
Thanks for the kind words man :)

I do agree... which is one of the reasons I wanted to scrap it. But since I lost all the individual tracks due to a fried motherboard issue(laptop is dead) I only have the original track from 6 months ago. Otherwise I would have axed about 15-20 seconds of riffage from the song.

Now this is what thrash is about. Great quality recording, solid riffs, massive drums, and clean soloing. I know that I'll be like the 5th person to say this, but all you need is some lyrics and a decent singer.

I thought I might have found one recently, but I'm pretty sure he's lying about really stupid things to lie about, i.e. his AGE... that doesn't make me happy, so the search continues! haha
Glad you guys are enjoying this one, I guess I'll have to figure out how to top it now haha

BUMP...
and if anyone cares to listen, my vocalist has written and sung his own lyrics over "I'm Sick" and "Bank Heist"--Now called Vengeance Rising and Brothers in Blood respectively.

The quality isn't that great since he sort of amped up the audio not realizing it would clip so bad.

Sounds awesome bro! The bass seems a little off in some parts and the quality is a little raw compared to your other efforts. But the composition is just as bad ass as always! Glad I'm not the only one heavily influenced by Megadeth! I wish I still some off my old, old, old junk from way back in the day when thrash was all I wrote.
Great job. Keep 'em coming... and I meant what I said in the PM

Thanks dude
Glad you liked it man :)
And Mustaine and Co. were really my first love in the thrash scene so they've definitely had massive influences on my sounds haha

Case, dude it's been a long time since I've heard a song that had that effect on me. I want to smile and snarl at the same time. Feels like the old thrash days. So glad you did not trash the thrash.
When I was listening this, I found myself cranking volume up... Hell lot of up... You my friend, have excellent taste of riffs. Only thing I could modify is by adding a little bass to Bassdrum, it sound too thin when other soundscene is so massive. Anyway, great job. Cheers!
