What other instruments do you play, and have they helped your guitar playing or has your guitar playing helped the other way around?
For me piano just made music easy-ish. but guitar differently help me get a hand on rhythm. Cello and Drums have helped me with my multitasking, and they help me with my crazy beat guitar work. All of this is helping me to learn drums right now. |

learn the piano!! it really helps you to learn another ploy-voiced instrument to really see whats going on. Another perspective on things.
I guess if all you want to do is just Single-note solo go with the Sax or the Violin. Personally, I say go with the Violin as there both Chordophones
anyway definitely learn another instrument but be serious about it. Don't just get a brunch of other instruments and have them be glorified novelty sound makers.
Not that it is a bad thing. The lord know I have to many glorified novelty sound makers as there quite fun to have around (making music is about having fun after all), but when the going gets dirty I take the piano seriously. |

I play some piano. I can play bass alright. I play the mandolin quite well. Some Drums. I use to play handbells in my school handbell choir. I can pick up almost any instrument besides the ones with bows (Violin, Cello etc.) |

Just give me 5 minutes alone with it.
If it's brass/woodwind I may need a fingering chart... |

I play anything I can get my hands on. I have a harmonica, a keyboard, a uke, and others. I would love to play a violin but have'nt had the chance. I don't have my own drum set but I can play them. |

I have the collection of noisemakers that I'm not so good at, trombone, clarinet... etc.
But I do like playing the bass, I find it to be good practice for finger strength and timing. |

Actually I shouldn't have said that, I have no idea what the traditional way to play it is. |
