My dad bought me 4X12 HIWATT when i was like 21. Sad thing is i sold it out of desperation for cash years ago. Now i plug into my stereo if i want to hear myself without headphones. I thinnk with combos your stuck with what you got. but i really dont know much about amps. |

I have a 2x12 Fender combo
I'm thinking of getting a 4x12 cabinet for it, a 6x12 is guaranteed to piss off the neighbors... |

I had to help a guy haul his 412 and head into my house for a jam session. Not any louder than my rig and each part weighed about 70 pounds... I'll stick with combos since you don't need a van to get them around haha plus I rather enjoy not having a bad back(yet)XD |

GShredder, 500 watt guitar amp? haha is that a joke? a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier goes to 150 watt tube powered...
When gigin i use a Mesa Triple Rectifier with a 5150 Cab,or a simple Marshall JCM900 with matched cab. Canīt beat the loudness of a kick ass Mesa.

loud isn't always good though... I found that out firsthand when my ex-"guitarist" decided to play with his Line6 at full volume... I think that event alone single handedly may have ruined my respect for musicians in Scottsdale AZ forever...
and 500 watts? I know that Marshall's Mode 4 put out something like 300 or 400, but I think that only Fender made an amp that put out close to 500 watts(450 of it is almost always un-useable). |
