Well, the gig is tonight! I'm pretty stoked right now(and a tad nervous about it ha). Just thought I should let you guys know there will also be video of it going up soon(camera + slow computer = hours).

thanks for the support dudes :) I don't know how the sound quality is from the camera but the soundman must have been drunk tonight haha I couldn't hear any of the backing track until half way through the first song(he also pushed stop at the wrong spot) and even after I could sort of hear(I had to go off of double bass pedal on the drums, I couldn't hear anything else at all except my guitar haha). So my playing is off in a few spots mainly because I was like wtf? where am I? haha(and a few solo spots are pretty sloppy)

but I made an ass of myself in my little vest and headbanged the hell out of myself haha(tired, sweaty, and thirsty after 20 minutes)

I thought you did alright. Yeah there was a lot of bad spots but if I were there I would have thought "Here's a young guitarist with enough B*LLS to get up there and do a solo gig", sat back & enjoyed the show.
Don't say it's your last solo gig 'cause it looked like a realtime guitar lesson to me. You will get better when the pressures on so keep it up!!! ;)

haha thanks man, I really know that I could have played way better had I been able to at least decipher the backing track haha all i could hear was my guitar for the first song ha even after that it was pretty rough to try to hear the backing track, which apparently wasn't just me since everyone else said they couldn't hear the backing track either :P oh well, there shall be more gigs haha

Though I thought I had better stage presence than that! haha

And I thought all there was to it was learning THEORY???HAHAHAHAHAHA

No matter how much you practice you're never ready for a monitor nightmare..

haha that's the end all for almost any scenario haha "I couldn't hear me or the tracks of the other guys..."

Monitor f-ups like that are VERY hard to overcome :P

soz for late reply man, well... that was... more than allright man, mistakes here and there but who the hell cares. It looked that middle of the set you got "rock star" mode haha... cheers man, nice job.

haha thanks man :) I know hit the Rock Star Mode a couple of times throughout the set(namely at the end of the first solo, that big run) my friend wittingly called it "the 'gasm face" XD haha
