Hey all mighty peoples of AGC!
Here is my latest work...it's only been about 3 weeks since I first started in on the thing haha
Lot of work went into this one, so please let me know what you think.

Also...if you notice the little er, Metallica thing...I never learned the song at all, and just kind of accidentally found that(middle of an improved run) so yeah...haha

I was only able to listen to the first 30 seconds or so, it said I had to be on the mailing list. Sounded good from what I did hear though. What are you using for drums?

You definitely got some thrash meets Ozzy influences going on. Pretty good sound over all.

And I'm using EZ drummer's Drumkit from Hell for the drums, I think it sounds pretty good haha

I tweaked the track a little bit(you COULD call it mastering, but it really isn't...)
It has a bit more of a crisp edge, not as mushy sounding, and the bass has been tamed a bit more along with some of the highs. Leads cut through nicely now too ;)

I can listen now. Sounds good man, you still got to work on your timing for the lead stuff. Try and be more rhythmic with it, that should help you get better timing. I loved the riffage, though a bit repetitive. I think you did a great job composing this and hope to see more of the same. You have definitely come a long way from your first recording you posted for us!

I'm definitely trying to get my lead playing to better timed, but that is a loooong process...hopefully the next outing will prove to be a better showcase of that haha

Here is a tip, try playing less notes and focus mainly on the timing. For example, make sure you only pick a note on the down beat, or on the up. Just play quarter notes. Then when you can do that in time, play eighth notes and so on.

Heres my opinion, I enjoyed your riffs more than your licks. I agree with GS, the solo parts seemed to be a bit off, altho they were extremely good and I am very impressed, they just felt like you were playing stuff, and then put the backing track on. you know what I mean?
PS. that last riff TOTALLY reminded me of Death. actually the whole thing kind of did. good job man!

I liked the lick at 0:49 even though it was a little extended it took off smooth. Sounds like Phrygian. Also I liked the rhythm change at 2:30

haha yeah I had been sitting on that riff's basis for maybe 2 weeks prior to actually finding out a place to sneak it in haha

But I wish that I would have shortened the opening riff by maybe...45 seconds(it does drag on pretty bad).

P.S. No need to make excuses man. :) You should always show people what is your best, so making excuses afterwards doesn't help. You'll be fine dude, just practice, practice, practice!

ANYWAYS This is based on opinion here; but the intro riff was a bit repetitive. Most intros should be something like 4 - 8 Bars but yours went on for 20 bars before you introduced the lead guitar. If you were to add lyrics then I can understand, but make sure you keep the listener drawn in at all times!
