Cost? A LOT. I know Jackson makes customs. It's on their site. I don't know if Fender or Gibson do or not. Only bad thing about Jacksons though, is that unless you want a shark strat [all pointy, not like the smooth-curved Fenders] or a V, or one of their other models you're basically SOL. My reccomendation is to buy the cheapest name brand form of the guitar you want, and just pimp it out yourself.

yeah Ozz is right

depending on your taste it can run upwards of 7 G's...
I don't think that Fender or Gibson will make one for you either.

Just google it, some guy makes customs that are pretty awesome out of Canada for like 1200

If you talking about going to a luthier and having them custom build one to your specs it will cost a ton. my guess $5,000+

If you looking for a tweeked or customized version of stock models then that's different. it's not really a custom guitar but modified to your needs. Follow me?

Lol, the first post should be third person. My friend was curious.

Ps. You should know it isnt me because i wouldnt get a fender, plus i just got my new Ibanez that fills all my needs.
Anyway, thanks for your help. He wanted one fully customized. Not just some tweaks.

why does he need one fully customized? he should just find one he likes. no need to spend 3,000 dollars when you can buy a perfectly good guitar for 800

hey man some people have a taste for the elegant... why buy a $1,200 fender stratocaster when you can get a perfectly good squier strat for $200?

personally if I wanted to have "Fender" in big letters on the head stock, I'd buy a MIM strat, it plays just as well, is made with the same materials, and supports my roots on my mom's side. Plus it's a lot cheaper, which gives me freedom to buy an amp with it or maybe a new pedal or two plus a hard case.

Custom guitars are just what the person wants. The only person that can tweek a guitar is the person that owns it. You can have a 5 dollar guitar and smoke a 1000 dollar guitar if you make it ur own.But it will cost you.
