impulse buy....new guitar.....couldn't help myself

was hanging at my buddies shop messing around with a few guitars and
picked this up. played it for a few and just couldn't resist from
buying it. ESP FX-260SM,the lower end of the series $399 i just
love this thing.....

That is a sweeeet guitar. It looks like neck thru the body and is that EMG pickups? $399 is a steal for what you get with that guitar. Nice impulse buy. If I didnt buy on impulse, I wouldnt have anything!

I would just take the EMGs and trash the guitar.

yeah i like different. what i like most on these are that no two
are alike. kinda like owning a 1 off. i've never even seen one
before my buddy ordered it in.

the p/u's are emg esp designed hb's, nothing special...but sound
pretty darn good just as they are. not sure if i want to put some new
ones in just yet. my buddy has a mij comming in next month w/actives
so i'll see how that sounds before i decide to do anything.

i was the same way not to long ago and swore i would stick to
classic styles,but for some reason this just felt really,really
good in my hands and played even better.

I've never felt comfortable with that design, but the natural wood looks amazing...it looks like its finished to me. Good deal.

yea thats one of the new ones from ESP this past year. its a pretty rockin gutiar with raw looks.

Its definetely finished. I really like guitars with a natural finish. It gives them a vintage look but the pickups and shape scream THRASH.

Thats the phrase I was looking for.

Maybe it was just the way the lighting was that made it look unfinished.

it's a satin finish(no gloss)so it looks unfinished in the pictures.

my friend at work has the firebird bass & a matching mandolin..lol
both are very cool looking.

I went to Guitar Center today at luch to see if they had one but they don't have ESPs.

I know its weird. Sam Ash carries ESP but they dont sell Jacksons.

they feel like my other guitars

i did a little research on this and quite a few folks paid upwards of
$650 for this.i guess i did pretty well for $399 and my buddy didn't
even give me a discount on the guitar.

thats a really nice guitar. if you had the grain the right way round it would match the floor. looks pretty snazzy if you ask me. the wood grain compliments the shape, i mean it just wouldnt look right on a strat or tele. good buy

so i'm hangin at my buddy's shop again today and now he's offering
to drop in a set of my choice,active emg's for for the special price
of $100 :o hhmmm......a 2 for 1 w/free install.....damm.....i really
don't have another 100 to just drop on a dime atm,but at that price
i just might have to...he does this to me everytime i buy something.
