Okay I know it in thw wrong section of the forum what else is new? LOL
I am busy recording myself play a rhythm part so I can play a solo over it. I am using sound recorder, as you may know that it only allows 60 seconds of playing time.
Can anyone recommend a recorder that I can use saving me stopping after 60 seconds of playing time?
Thank you

I use audacity. I think everyone who is going the do a song with someone else should download this program just to make things easier. |

i like reaper, and Cubase but really there are so many out there that you tinker with them until you find the one that fits your needs most. I like reaper because it's simple and easy but Cubase has a ton of features. but with all the features come a learning curve. where you spend more time figuring out how to record than recording. but once you get the hang of it it's easy sailing. |

oh yeah, I bought the EMU 0404 sound card and it came bundled with cubase LE which sucks. I installed it and used if for a while then discovered the full version and it's like comparing guitars to violins. nothing alike. PM Me if you want more details |

The best thing you can do is, get a small pc, and get logic 6 express this will work on pc you dont need a dongle for it , i have created all my music in logic express davidbahar.com, you can realy grow with this program, and if you ever move up to Mac logic is the logical thing to do.
Good luck

First, I have to ask a question before I download audacity. What is the advantage (if any) of downloading it off sourceforge instead of the actual website. Second I found some awesome software on wikipedia. Just type in free software for audio and it gives a giant list of free music recording software like hydrogen. Has anyone tried this awesome drum machine? |

I use Reaper and Audacity. I have a general tendency to record with Reaper and edit with Audacity. |
