oh please!
Ella Fitzgerald had a great voice.
Nat King Cole had a great voice
Smokey Robinson had a great voice.
Jimi sounded like he was gargling liquid plummer! But that bastard could play a guitar! |

he had the perfect voice for his music...look at most bands remakes...its a joke...they sound so bad...his random guitar rythm strumming, followed by his random yet amazing guitar solos fits perfect with his liquidd plumming voice... |

As long as the bad voice suits the music, that's all that really matters. |

I would agree....I love bob dylan. People alwasy say that he sucks as a singer but the more i listen to him the more i think his voice is perfect for the music. I'm sure someone else could redo his song a might do just a good or better of a job. every one has coverd his songs from Hendrex to the birds to garth brooks. |

favourite guitarist.
probably malmsteen satriani or gilbert.
i personally think a lot of guitarists are very overrated.
and dylan wrote great songs but his singing does drive me crazy lol.

I can't just put my name on one, so I'll just list the ones I like the best: Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix(of course), Herman Li (although I've heard he can't do half the stuff on their albums live), Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Angelo Batio (just for his speed, he tends to stay in the same spot too long), Micheal Romeo, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Vernon Reid. |

I also love Slash too he is such an awesome guitarist.
Tony Iommi is one of my favorites too.
Gotta agree, Steve Vai and Randy Rhodes as well are awesome.
But Slash and Dime are still my faves. |

I wouldn't say Slash was awesome on a technical level (good yes, not awesome), but the stuff does sound cool; I like his style of music. Dime on the other hand, I just don't like his style; I like faster higher pitched stuff better, like legato or something. |

I really liked Randy Rhoads when I was younger, Dime is also outstanding but like aterrell said for the stlye he plays but Hendrix has to be the all time in my book, I dont play like him or try too but the quality of his music both tecnical and melodic is outstanding |

I never liked Hendrix... to much blues, and weird tricks like Dragon Force + a blues man... hahaha
Thinking about it, my favorite is:
Ron Jarzombek
He was in Watch Tower, Spastic Inc and lots of other awesome bands I've never heard of... hahah |

One thing that gets me about Hendrix is that he was playing in the 60s what people today are still tryin to play today. Just think about what he would be playing today if he were still alive... |

I've heard Steve Vai cries sometimes when he plays his music live. I guess that is showing emotion. I don't know for sure, I've read it somewhere. Is it true? If it is then I think it's good, showing emotion never hurt anyone. |

i think u gotta put emotion in music and words, pink floyd, some of the best lyrics youll ever find, loads of emotion, the delay helps 2. |

Pink Floyd is amazing. I grew up listening to those old cassette tapes in the car. 'Course I didn't understand it but as I listen to it when I'm older, I guess I gain a kind of respect and a loving for it. It is excellent stuff. |

when you stop putting emotion into your music and just follow a formula, thats when you go downhill. Look at 80's glam metal. I like some of it, but eventually it was all about the money. Then it wasn't very hard at all for something like grunge to do away with it. |

Grunge doesn't seem to have much emotion. It just seems to be a bunch of random stuff. Some grunge has it and some doesn't. |

its a running joke with me and my friend that whenever someone says Alexi in their fav guitarists list we have to burn them, also he determined why he thought Bodom sucked, it was because when people used to pay to see them the only decent part was the vocals so they'd go and punch Alexi in the throat so thats why his vocals are shot.
All in all though it was just a joke |
