How many of you Busk or play out side in the streets for fun? or money?

I do for fun, but if people offer money I wont say no. I find it really fun, helps me to build confidence, I meet really 'interesting' people, and sometimes other great musicians.

If I were a bit more confident in my ability to not constantly screw up I would do that all day long. Ive thought about though.

You probably need a license where I'm at too, but our cops don't care about anything but DUI's, so I could probably do it. I never have though, I'm not that outgoing around strangers most of the time unless I'm with friends.

You need a licence in England as well but the police don't care, though if you're doing it outside a shop and you get told to move by the shop or police move or you will get into trouble.

Once I met a mate and we had a jam in a park, wasn't really busking but we had a guy watch us for like 5 minutes and then go "you guys musta practised alottttt" and walk away without paying us. Wasn't looking for money but I thought we were in for a chance with the amount of time he spent listening.

A frien and I used to play on the Santa Monica Pier. We played and sang a bunch of Beatles songs and would put a guitar case with some dollars and change in it. A crowd would gather and we would leave with as much as 100 bucks.
