I was looking for some chords (using Google), so I found (and bookmarked) this website.
And after a few days I discovered this "Forums" button.

i googled metronome for my mate, who doesnt have one and i thought he should use one.

Somebody from the US told me about it, but I didn't bookmark it or something, so I forgot about it after a while(didn't know about the forum yet). And then I searched for a metronome from Yahoo!, and here I was again.

A world without Google...It would be just the same, I use Yahoo!, and it's better.

Sorry dude, but this is probably the first time I have completely disagreed with someone on this site.
On the contrary, practically every single scale on this site has a use. They all come from different cultures with different types of music. Many of these cultures and countries make music that to us sounds 'dissonant' and unusual.
But isn't that great? If all the music in all the world used the same types of scales and chords it would be boring as FUCK. I mean, the state of the UK's modern music industry is a prime example, particularly pop songs which 'must' all be written to a specific format in order to achieve a specific emotion or effect. If I'm not mistaken, your profile picture is that of the legendary Zappa, who was about as wild and far-out as guitarists get (with the possible exception of his fellow player, Steve Vai) in terms of composition and performance.
So, sorry about that, but this site is a goldmine of potential sounds and songs that are not 'worthless', you've just gotta have an open mind and be willing to try it.

In Estonia, we have a site, rate.ee, which is the most popular. Around 1/3 of whole Estonian nationality has a user in it. Soo, there'sa club, called "Kitarr" ("guitar" in Estonian). There was a topic about guitarsites. And there it was...

@Afro_Raven: I agree, but I think he meant that most people are likely to not even touch them under normal circumstances. Although even then, it's still good to have them their just incase.

I wanted to learn something other than major, natural minor, and blues scales to add some variety to my lead work...Searched "guitar scales" in msn search and this was the first thing that came up.
