hi all
at the beggining i don't knew any thing about guitar so simply i just kept practice on my left hand 4 speed and strength. learning the bare chords and some scales. now i'm trying to memorise the fret bord and the notes but i'm feeling kinda lost for what to do next so any thing will be helpful ...

What Carl said. Keep practicing, and take any opportunity to play in public that comes up. The latter being so that you can get noticed and maybe start to get a band going.

Practice.

Memorize the fret Board? even if you never go past the 12th fret that's a lot of memory work...practice simple box patterns until you get used to it and then move it up and down the neck...The pattern will always be the same...just the position will change...

if you MEMORIZE it, yes. however if you LEARN it it's not so hard. just learn the order of the notes and the starting point of each string. and although i couldnt' tell you what the 9th fret of the B string is off the top of my head, give me a couple of seconds to figure it out and i will tell you (i'm not going to but i could).

from bottom to top the strings are E A D G B and E (high E usually typed "e"). each fret is a half-step higher note. the order of the notes are

A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G# A --- sharps can also be written as flats, but the point is that there are no semi-tones in between E-F and B-C.

so take this in mind, the 9th fret of the A string is...F#
the 9th fret of the B string is...G#

this is easier than "memorizing" the entire fretboard.

I use relationships to remember the notes at different frets. As well, past the 12th fret it's all the same pattern!!! You don't need to learn anymore when you do open->11th fret.

Learn your scales, work on your patterns, and work on finger dexterity. That will benefit you so much in the future! it's something I should of worked on, and am now regretting it :(
