here's mine(I don't have a video camera or my amp right now so I used my laptop for the distortion and effects)
it's just a soundclick file
Not nearly as good as Alex though lol
I've got a ways to go for technique though :D great job alex
Please some feedback!(BTW I'm not entering the competition because I don't have the time to do this one on video: with studio, practice, preparation for a BOTB show in the next month)

@ Alex, you use two of your own licks in every solo of yours Alex, it's how I recognise it's you I'm listening to. (without watching the video) They're really good licks, do you mind if I work with the idea of them? Meaning use the licks but incorperate them into my own thing.
@ Case, good solo, but you started with it playing past the ear at 90mph, slow down for the beginning, then gradually get faster. Just take a look at some of your inspirations and you'll know that they do that. (unless it's Dragon Force) It's what makes such a good solo.

lol I do need to learn to slow down a bit, been trying to find a way to build gradually for the instrumental stuff like this.
I like the explosive starts for solos in songs because I like to really kick 'em in the ear-drums(unless our song is slower).
Listening back at it, thanks for pointing that out, I wish I had gone a tad bit slower in the beginning for a more sloping effect of speed instead of a wall of speed at the start :D
ah I need to tame the shred a bit eh? lol
Jazz,Wich licks??? haha im curious about that!! sure use them!!!
Case, that was cool man,now try making a story with it,there are times and places, for playing slow, for playing fast, for being melodious or for totaly crankin up and shred it to tears, learn how to use all these things wisely and you're on the other side!! (thats where i wanted to get with my solo...using everything on the track)
Case, seems that you have born to shred XD. Man thats good, I never could do the same... even nearly. Ofcourse there are few sloppy notes, few mistakes but so what... practise makes them perfect. Keep it up m8, I really liked the tone. Actually it was very good tone I think.

haha emp, maybe I was lol
I do notice a few places of the mistakes you said but they are going to happen and all I can do is try to work them out through practice like you also said lol
thanks man :D
thanks for liking my tone too :)

not bad man, I think drums would have definitely helped with the sound/mood of the song, but those aren't easy to come by(thank's apple for the drum loops lol)
Something to try as well, try backing off the gain/distortion a bit when you record, your tone wasn't bad, it was just a bit fuzzy and un-clear for recording, but if that's what you like then forget what I said about the gain(though it will bring out a little bit more clarity amongst the notes and changes)
How did you record your guitar by the way?

also the bass is thru my guitar amp.( its a digital amp) on a clean setting cus.. distorted bass to me .is for super metal
