hmmmm...still not sure myself because I have gotten better so I learn harder songs faster, I knocked out "Mr. Crowley" all the way in about 4 days, so I can't really say.
But "Crush my battle opponents balls", that's awesomeness there! lol I love Dethklok

when you say "knocked out" you mean you can play it or you can like kinda play it, because theres 2 huge differences there. i can finally claim to play it note for note, with some mistakes in my skill, but to play it generally to play it perfectly is 2 different monsters. also i dont use tabs. so everything i do is from concerts and stuff tht i can hear, for example mr.crowley the end solo, there was a problem with the keys and bass (into the pa) in a concert in '82. an amazing concert "king buscuit" anyway they basicly shut off between the arrpeggios and the ionian run up and turn back on during the trills up to the a phrygian, and you can get that part of the solo perfect. or you can just use my guitar track for it :)

I never play anything note for note in a solo. I'm not Randy, Eddie, Dimebag, or any of those guys, so I get most of it, but i usually put myself in there. I don't see any point to learn a solo note for note, for me its not fun to play it over and over the same thing again and again. So I will do something a little bit different here or there. Because like I said, I didn't write it, so its not me in the original format. Most people will have differing views on that but i stand by mine with taking about 80-95% of the solo note for note but then the other 5% is me injecting something I think sounds good in there, whether it be different picking, a chromatic here or there, whatever, I just add a little bit of "me" to the solos that I play.
My personal opinion: playing solos in general note for note isn't as expressing, or fun.

I would definitely recommend "Crazy Train" its not that hard, and its a quick learn. After that, "Mr. Crowley", because that one will get your fingers moving, fun to play, and it didn't take me long to perfect some of the parts after a few days.

@emb
your third reason is the one that I disagree with. I think it would be pointless to argue any further because everyone has their reasons why, so agree to disagree.

I think the hardest songs for me to learn are some my own. That's because I intentionally try to write songs that challenge me and force me to practice all day everyday until I get them right. I also, don't like learning other peoples music because I feel like it prevents me from having a unique playing style.

I agree with that, I like to learn some songs by Ozzy, Van Halen, whatever is on our setlist, because either I need to, or I really want to. But when I play something I make up, it doesn't sound like anyone else, its really weird.

Hardest songs I learned so far have been Naissance by Antoine Dufour and Tension by Kotaro Oshio. They are fun tunes to play, but I still have isues playing them cleanly. :(
