I have a challange!

I wanna see the best homemade guitar. and theres one rule

You must have one part made from TOTAL scratch. And scratch the guitar part, it can be ANY insturement! I want to see everyones luthing skills :) i will post mine in a sec.

I got some tight maracas that I made out of gourds. Me and my dad grew and dried the gourds ourselves, and filled them with little pebbles. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

We have over 80 gourds drying now, so I'll probably make something out of those (they probably won't dry til spring though).

could i just get a block of wood and tape a guitar neck to it?

I'll have to make one out of a shoebox, elastic bands and a long piece of cardboard for the neck :D I just can't manage to make one from wood as of now. But I bet my cardboard one will win, it has to! Err, if I can be putting up with the effort anyway...

Yours looks great, is it ment to resemble any particular kind you'd normally buy? It's really nice looking, wish I could make one like that.

The best I can do is drill a hole in a stick and poke holes in it and call it a flute. I am so skilled it's amazing!

i rebuilt an 84 kramer
it came in peices i rewired reassembeled it but i did have to cut a plate to mount a singelcoil p-up,does that count

ok i'm going to cut out a truss rod cover out of wood does that count?
