honestly i don't think that was one of his best works, his bob dylan covers are better.

I don't know about Purple Haze, but I will definitely post a Voodoo Child cover once my wah-pedal is back from repairs.

Agreed, Jimi was a real big dyan fan. I loved all along the watch tower and he did a cool version of Like a rolling stone too.

I might have a video up sometime in the next few weeks. My cousin and I recored ourselves playing it a few months ago, with me on guitar and him on the drums. It's not perfect, since the only part I knew how to play was the intro and verse. :P We just did an improv solo, and then just ended on it.

Hehe, it was the only song that we both knew enough of to jam on though, so I think we did a decent job. I'll try to find the video or make a new one when I see him over the Christmas holiday.
